This mall, even though one level, and smaller shocked me on how 90s, 2000s vibe it gave off; as soon as I lefted Boscvos. Even though, malls these days seem to be a dying trend, this one is thriving. Loved , the old style Bath & Body Works reminded me of my college days, when I worked there, back home Bonus, they still outside of the mall have Ground Round sign standing. Fun fact, as I'm not local looks like it's been standing sign for the last 19 years. Dunham's & Boscovs are the large anchors with a mix of other retail. 6/13/21 WOW!!! I haven't been here in maybe 5 years. My husband was here recently to get a new phone. I was pleasantly surprised by the revival of the Laurel Mall! There is a Boscovs, TJ MAXX, Hobby Lobby, Old Navy, Planet Fitness, Encore Shoe Department, Gertrude Hawk, Bath and Body Works, and a smattering of others. There is an Italian restaurant that smells amazing, I would have loved to try it, but I wasn't hungry. The mall was much more lively than I remembered in the past. In the past it was reminiscent of the dying terminally ill Coventry Mall. I wasn't loving the TJ MAXX and I'm not a fan of Old Navy so I didn't bother even going in there. I love Hobby Lobby, but since I went on a Sunday- it wasn't open. If you are looking to kill time, I recommend it! Definitely not a destination place. The mall seemed clean and the bathrooms I encountered were clean too. read more

The ONLY mall in the area that is hoppin. Love the pizza place and the variety of stores. Has always been a great place to shop.

Yikes-this mall is the land that time forgot. There is nary a macys or any slightly upscale store in sight. The anchor store is k mart, which tells you everything you need to know. It seems that a lot of the stores here are in the midst of closing. We went here for AT&T and alas it was no more. The mall was a ghost town. I think I saw tumbleweed. I guess they have the essentials to keep the local mountain folk alive, but if it's a pleasant afternoon of window shopping you're after, it's not happening here. read more

I went to school at the PSU campus about 10 years ago, and back then, this was pretty much the only place to go. Sure, it was (and still is) pretty much the smallest mall I ever been to, but for its time it had the essentials...book store, two record stores (one of which always had some wacky stuff...mostly stuff that was on the shelf for years), and an arcade. I recall the food "court" was nasty, but it was a place that would kill an hour or two and that cannot be ignored. I realize reviewing a place a decade after last seeing it isn't the most helpful, but I have a feeling it hasn't changed much. read more

As another Yelper stated, the mall has the essentials. The only caveat is you need to search in order to satisfy all of those essential needs. May I suggest starting at the Wal-mart. Do not expect any high-end designer stores. read more

The Laurel Mall is growing. Slowly but it is growing. They just opened a play area for kids under 42 inches to play in. A wine store and a new jewelers is coming also. The new management claims they will have the mall at 100 percent capacity with possible expansion. They will also put new seating areas throughout the mall. read more

The Laurel Mall is a fantastic mall! It's anchored by Boscov's, Dunham's Sports, Kmart, & TJ-Maxx. There's additionally a decent selection of stores like Old Navy, Claire's, GNC, Bath & Body Works, Littman Jeweler's, Rue21, Gertrude Hawk, Maurices, Gamestop, & More..Parking was kind of difficult, but once we got in the parking garage it was fine. The Boscov's was really nice and had some great bargains. Dunham's Sports had a nice variety of clothes. Old Navy was decent, I wish they had more stuff in the size I am though. It was all gone! Lol. Kmart was a nice looking one with extremely great prices! TJ-Maxx is your typical TJ-Maxx. It opened recently! The only I thing this place needs is more corporate stores with like brand-names. Lots of stores that aren't anchors, are local-businesses..but the thing is that a lot of them don't really sell the greatest things. A few of those places like The Pet Shop & Treasure Hunt are great, but some others I walked passed looked kind of unneeded in the mall, and other fashion-chain stores would do much better. But the mall itself has some nice skylights and it attracts a lot of shoppers. I ended up getting things from all the anchor stores. I would recommend anyone to come here if you are in the area. read more

Terrible mall. The anchor stores are good, but the inside of the mall - blah. Lots of shady little shops. Feels like NYC street merchants are trying to get a foothold. The legit stores are okay, but I feel like there should be a bit more scrutiny with to whom they lease. Was seriously waiting for someone to walk up to me, open their trenchcoat, and shine a bunch of "Rolex" watches for sale. I was there over Christmas for the first time in a year. I'd heard it had gotten better since TJ Maxx came in. Wrong. Very, very wrong. As a side note, the day I was there, there was a rather cheery security guard delivering Christmas gifts from the mall owners to the stores. Couldn't help but smile at that! read more

Absolutely nothing special about this mall at all. The place is very small and doesn't have many stores whatsoever. I much rather go down to the Lehigh Valley Mall in Whitehall, Pa (Allentown) or just head down to Philly. For any travelers driving on Interstate 81 northbound, I seriously suggest you continue on driving towards Scranton-Wilkes Barre area to find places to shop and eat. BUT IF YOU HAVE TO COME TO THIS MALL WARNING: Avoid this mall on Friday Nights because this place is where many teenagers flock. (Unless you are a teenage, then you can ignore this warning) read more

This mall is depressing. More stores are closing by the minute. There is some goods stores though.

I have always loved this mall.The mall was built in 1972.The mall is always professionally staffed and very beautiful actually.I think better security , or no construction allowed, noise reduction, no noise allowed, advocates to keep the mall safe, revitalization would make this mall better, also crossing guards or an online mall store ! Nothing special except Boscov. No appealing stores. Need for better food court and upgraded stores..a lot of empty stores...get something big..current. Trader Joe's, Victoria Secret. So much of New York here. Get a Conway. Add a Red Lobster. Need for revitilization. read more
