I went in and requested an asymmetrical bob. I have curly and thick hair for an Asian and, from my experience, only some hairstylist knows how to deal with hair like mine. I was wary but desperate for a new haircut. The hairstylist took note of my curly hair and he did such a great job! I can tell he has a lot of experience by the tools he used and the techniques he used to cut and manage my hair. At the end, he even provided guidance on how to take care of my hair with the new cut I got so it will look the way he styled it at the end. And most importantly, he was so kind. I highly recommend and will come back again.

Upon arrival, I was greeted by Melissa who was coloring another client's hair and shortly after, I met Jeph, the owner. Jeph asked me a bit about myself and what I needed done. He totally understood that I wasn't in a (financial) place for a full retouch of my highlights and in fact said that I probably could go a little longer without a full touchup and haircut which I really appreciated! What I loved about the salon was that we had easy-going conversation for a bit and then Jeph let me chill out a bit to surf on my phone -- love the ease of appointments like this. Melissa gave me the shampoo of my dreams with an amazing mini scalp massage. She then went on to blow dry me and gave me beach curls and Jeph dusted off my bangs for a refreshed look. I thought the duo tag-teamed my services well and made sure there weren't any unnecessary delays. Getting my greys colored really brightened my whole look! I got a call on my work phone, which I've never used for calls outside my building and the ID read "Aviance Hair ST" which I thought was odd since it's not my usual salon and I've always called from my cell, but I answered it anyway. A very curt woman was on the other end and after hellos said "you just called me". I had been working when I received the call and almost missed it because I was listening to music, so I said "Sorry, I think you have the wrong number" to which this woman angrily replied "No. This is a hair salon and you just called me". I again said "No, I definitely did not". She then mutters "you a dumb bitch" and hangs up the phone. I was appalled. Lady, you really did have the wrong number and I cannot believe you would talk to someone like that. Especially someone who may have been a potential customer? What? So the three ladies were VERY NICE and I'm enjoying my experience UNTIL...a lady came in hollering at me upset saying that what I told her I wanted and what I was getting were too different things. So, I'm shocked and started asking who she was. She said the owner AGNES. I believe there is DEF a language barrier. However, like I told AGNES, I was there to spend money not take from here. I'm going to post the hairstyle I wanted, and what I got. I wanted my crochet styled like the pic I sent. No one told me to get a certain hair, so I got what I've been wearing for FIVE YEARS --GOGO CURL. I normally wear 2 1/2 - 3 packs MAX! One lady was putting a WHOLE CURL in my head. If you know crochet, then one curl can be PULLED APART. AGNES says that's too hard. I advised that I would pull the hair apart. Because the lady used ONE ENTIRE pack on the front quarter of my head, they did NOT have enough hair to finish my head so you will see the pics of what they did! (FIRST 4 PICS and my hair after they finished). Then AGNES Googles my hair telling me I got the wrong hair. Yall I go to Hollywood Beauty on Greenfield and they only have ONE KIND OF GO GO CURL HAIR AND ITS 26 inches BY FREETRESS. Anywho I ended up buying another pack and filling in the gaps. You will see what I DID (LAST 3 PICS AND MY FINISHED PIC), and I have the texts where I sent all of this to AGNES. WILL I GO BACK? I believe I am going to give it ONE MORE CHANCE b/c AGNES apologized and I REALLY want to support this business. I spent $130 and gave the ladies $10 EACH.
