We first worked with Lauren a few years ago when we needed help visualizing our open-concept living space and finding the right window treatments for our master bedroom's oversized window. Lauren was a completely essential part of making our first floor renovation a success both logistically and aesthetically. Her eye for beautiful, functional pieces helped us curate a space that will no doubt grow with our family through each chapter and she was very talented at translating the style I had in my head into a living breathing reality. We met Lauren in May 2024 through a referral. We had decided it was time to refresh our main level including the kitchen and half bath. We had already started the process with getting quotes for refinishing our wood floors and stoning our fireplace to the ceiling. We brought Lauren in to help with the design process. We liked her on the spot. She was very easy to talk to and down to earth. We liked that she took everything we wanted to do and combined it with her ideas. She was never pushy and was very professional every step of the way. We felt her prices were acceptable given the research and design work that went into the overall theme. We were very happy with all of the contractors she connected us with. All were very professional and timely with their work. As with any remodel there were a few bumps in the road with delayed deliveries of furniture, artwork, lighting and window treatments. I chalk that up to being very normal this day and age. Nothing is as timely as it once was. In the end everything came together beautifully and we couldn't be more happy with the end result. We love how much brighter our space is and how everything flows nicely between rooms. We have gotten so many compliments from all of our friends and family. Lauren worked on 2 different projects for me. Her work was excellent! I found her and her staff to be very responsive. Some Items can be expensive, but that's part of getting a good quality result. She always tried to accomplish our goal and never pushed anything on us. She merely made recommendations in an effort to align with the designs we were seeking for our projects. Working with Lauren has changed our lives! I had not worked with a designer before, so I was not sure what to expect. Lauren exceeded all expectations and we will be working with her again and again. After meeting with her and speaking to multiple references who sang her praises, we decided to have Lauren redesign our office, manage the painting /wallpapering of our whole home, and update lighting and fixtures across the house. She works incredibly hard and cares deeply about her clients and their input. If needed, she also has an incredible, reliable, and diligent team of subcontractors to help execute all the work. The furnishings and fixtures she provided are high quality, reasonably priced, and have made our home feel like an cozy, welcoming place. She was flexible and open to discussing any tweaks, and she was in constant contact with us as we worked through everything. Lauren and team even managed to complete just about everything while we were out of town--we trusted her completely and she delivered. I paid the owner of this business, Lauren Clement a 60% deposit for furniture and interior design services on 11/30/24 and was told that delivery would take place within 8-12 weeks. After several months of follow up, I never received a firm delivery date. During that several month time frame, my text and email follow ups to Lauren would routinely go unanswered for days and weeks at a time. My final follow up communication to Lauren was on 03/25/24 requesting an update on the delivery date. Lauren never responded. In light of this and the fact that I paid her several thousand dollars and have received nothing in return or even a firm delivery date, I requested a refund of my deposit on 04/01/2024. Lauren has not responded to my request for a refund nor provided any of the goods and services that I paid for in November 2023. read more

I was so excited to hire Lauren as I had followed her career on Instagram and local news stations. She was extremely eager to work on our project and presents herself in a very professional manner-in the beginning. We began working with Lauren in February 2023 and paid her 6-figure deposits in April and May 2023. We were given her word that our furniture, wallpaper, decorative items, bedding, etc... would only take 8-12 weeks -at most. Once deposits were made, communication stopped! It was hard to get any truthful answers from her or her mother (who works with her). She had lots of excuses and stories and to our disappointment learned that many items were never even ordered when we made out deposits. We finally began checking with vendors which we also learned have stopped doing business with her. Many items that she delivered were wrong and not what we ordered. She measured our living room incorrectly and the furniture did not fit as planned-costing thousands more to fix. Also, she charges 4-5x for furniture and accessories than other retailers for the same items. We did not receive our last item from Lauren until July 2024 (which was not even the fabric that I chose). This was not until I went public on Instagram, threatened a lawyer, and also noticed she had gotten another big job (which probably funded finishing our project). It was so sad and disappointing to us as she is a very talented designer. Our house is beautiful. She does have very good craftsmen to help her (which were a shining light in the chaos). Like others, working with Lauren was a NIGHTMARE. She presents as polished, professional, eager to get you the design you want. Then, she quickly became pushy to get the five-figure 60% deposit from me and then promptly disappeared. Only heard from her when she wanted more money. Markups were beyond excessive. She quoted 8-10 weeks max for delivery of all items and began ignoring me when I reached out after 10 weeks. Calls, emails, texts all went unacknowledged. We had to engage an attorney (spending more $ on legal fees) just to get a portion of what was ordered. Several items were incorrect. She got very nasty when confronted about her behavior. She robs Peter to pay Paul, funding her lifestyle and leaving paying customers broke and dissatisfied. She is absolutely a thief packaged as an interior designer. The ONLY plus side were the subcontractors she sent our way. Much more dependable, professional, and reasonably priced than her con artist act. read more

I have never been more disappointed....I had a scheduled call with Lauren on a certain day and time....she never called. She apologized she forgot. I reached out and we finally spoke. We proceeded to set up an appointment for Nicole to see my recently built home. I got a call from her mother 20 minutes before our scheduled meeting time to be told that she had an emergency and would not be coming. We rescheduled....Our meeting went great and Lauren said I would receive emails from her within a few days with proposed budgets per room etc....a week went by....nothing so I reached out just asking what was next and days went by and she then had the nerve to tell me she is too busy for the next few weeks to help me.....I then said, since I was already months behind with her delays, to ask if I was willing to wait another month, could we proceed....she said she couldn't commit. I think because it wasn't a $$$big enough job, she didn't want to bother. So unprofessional. I wasted so much time and had such trust in her to be nothing but disappointed. Don't waste your time with this one, she's just "too busy" maybe she should take her contact info down or put a job minimum so so others don't have to go through what I have gone through with her! So disappointed. I was thrilled to work with Lauren and loved her designs and ideas. However, after a few issues with rugs, carpet, and drapes I quickly learned that she was not as great as I had thought. Items were WAY overpriced as well. I realize that a mark-up is normal for a designer, they must make a profit, but her mark-up is beyond excessive. After speaking to a few other people, they experienced the same issues and the designs were very similar. If I wanted a carbon copy of someone else's home I would have ordered through a catalog. This was one of the worst business experiences -- perhaps the worst -- I have ever had. The decorator completely misinterpreted what we were asking for, which was a rather simple window valance job. The valances look terrible, but Ms. Clement told me that in her professional judgment this design was better than what we had contracted for. The job was greatly overpriced, and she charged our credit card for the full balance before the installation was complete (without our permission). The hardware that was promised in the original negotiation was not delivered. Because Ms. Clement had not written any specifics onto the invoice, her staff insisted that this would invoke an additional charge. Lesson learned: I should have insisted that every detail of the order, including hardware, be specified on the invoice. I get upset every time I look at the valances. read more
