Pavilions does have some decent shops. They've got a really big TK Maxx, a tiny Zara and a reasonable-ish sized H&M. There's only two places to sit down and have a cup of coffee, though: a Starbucks (always shite) and another horrible and over-priced café which may or may not be a Kay's Kitchen, but it's definitely in a similar vein. There's a Movies@ cinema there as well which I've not been to (nor am I likely to do so) as Pavilions is pretty much impossible to reach if you don't have a car. Not my first choice when attending to my shopping needs, but you may have gathered that already.

Pavilions is a big shopping centre in Swords. There are a variety of big stores here such as…read moreDunnes, Supervalu, Penneys and some smaller stores as well. Living in North Dublin I sometimes don't wanna head into town and fight the crowds to go to Penneys on O'Connell or Mary Street (I don't drive either) or when I need to get something from Argos. Pavilions is a nice alternate and I can get here in about 15 minutes (by bus). There are a few other standout stores I like here. I've mentioned Penneys and Argos. Aside from those I also really love the Boots here. It's a big Boots store and they've got a good selection of health and beauty stuff that some of the smaller Boots pharmacies won't carry. There is also a large McCabe's Pharmacy as well. There is a Kilkenny Gift Shop, which has Irish made gifts and handcrafts. It's a bit pricey, but if you're looking for something Irish made of high quality this is a great store. There are a few restaurants here, including some fast food types of places and cafes, and some dine in restaurants like Global Burger Kitchen. There is also a cinema, but I've haven't gone to see a movie here yet. Anyway depending on when you go it can be busy, but I haven't been here when it's too crazy. There are a variety of buses that stop just outside the shopping centre (if you don't drive). If you do drive there is a fair amount of parking available.

At the entrance there is a large sale rack, and in the middle of the store you'll find some great pieces for 30 euro. So about the clothes... an interesting range here, I found a black dress entirely made of leather for 350 euro. I know what you're thinking - tacky, right? - it was ACTUALLY really groovy! The two brands that impressed me here were Dept and Snob - I'd never heard of either but there have some really nice tops and vests, some of which are really intricately detailed. The shop assistant was nice enough but not overly friendly. This would be a good place for anyone from young women up to about the 50-something mark.

Located in the heart of Ashbourne is this fantastic gift shop selling everything under the sun! I…read morehave spent hours browsing all the qiurky little things on display, including an extensive Yankee Candle range, photo frames, ornaments and many many more! I have found some unique and unusual presents here and they have always been exclaimed over. At the moment there is a 50% sale off everything so if you're in the area this shop is well worth a visit!

Airside Retail Park

Airside retail park is a large retail park located close to swords, the M1 and has tons and tons of…read moreparking which means i don't have to go to town or even to the extremely busy Blanchardstown shopping centre for things like household items or toys for the children for christmas. Airside has Smyths, Harvey Norman, Woodies, Petstop and lots more shops as well as a hotel across the road and a few large car dealerships. There is also the famous Wrights the big nightclub there which i was once at but i found it too pretentious. I have been a few time to the retail park but it lacks a decent restaurant after an afternoon's shopping; the big McDonalds drive-in does not attract me although i think there is a starbucks somewhere there?

This is a huge TK Maxx in Navan Retail Park. As it's part of the retail park there's loads of free…read moreparking. It's over two floors and really well spread out. I often find TK Maxx shops are really busy and squashed. This one was really quiet when I visited, but more importantly everything was nicely spread out and didn't feel cramped. It's a very comfortable shopping experience! Like all TK Maxx stores, there are some brilliant bargains to be found if you have the patience for a good rummage! :)

It's great to have a TK Maxx located in Navan!…read more This is a nice quiet branch that's very spacious and clean, is never too busy and there is lots of parking too in the industrial estate. Great addition to the town and generally has up to date stock in terms of what's in the other stores.
