So my wife and I were first-time home buyers who wanted our dream home in Plantation. We had some pretty specific criteria for this purchase. He has just re-listed the property 715 Tuscaloosa Street West Palm Beach, 33405 while knowing it is facing an ACTIVE lawsuit (case number: 502025CA003022XXXAMB) and while he also knows the property has un-clean title. I know because I was in escrow on this property myself, & found these things out only a week before I was supposed to close. I sold stock at a loss & with a 10% penalty to withdraw from my Ira account in order to have the funds to purchase. As well as took out a personal loan at 13% interest to fund my purchase. There will be more victims with costs like me if this realtor isn't stopped. He should not be marketing it while under litigation. They have several victims, including me. My fiance and I put an offer in on a house that was owned by Zillow but contracted out by Laurie Readers team. After we submitted the offer and went to the house twice to see it and loved it, three different people from this team contacted us and disnt know they were all trying to contact us at once so we were confused. They issued us a buyers agent through their own team that only wanted to put an offer in that we did not agree on. It took him over 2 days to actually call me back back and when he did he was showing another house or apartment and lost reception in the elevator. Mind you my family and I are alightly stuck in a motel until we close on a house... and they knew this.... we found another buyers agent who was willing to submit our offer and she was told that we would hear something back in 72 hours and we said we were open to a counter offer. We did not hear anything back ever and it had been 6 days. I texted their automated system that we wanted to cancel our offer and I look today and uts pending... how frustrating. Save yourself the aggravation and buy through a less stuck up agency that can't even have the decency to reject someone's offer so we could have moved on ... which we already did but its the principal of the fact..they did nothing to help us. read more

I've tried contacting this business several times to schedule tours/showings/trying to find someone willing to help an out-of-state buyer virtually see a home, and they never respond. No emails, no calls, no texts. I've filled out the online customer forms, I've called them - I don't know where they are getting these reviews from. The LFR team had professional pictures taken of the home, conducted open houses, did digital marketing, e-mail blasts, and showed the house as many times as it took! Voila! We had several offers and a signed offer in four days! Unfortunately, the first deal fell through (no fault of LFR) so our house had to be put on the market again and we had a signed contract in four days once more! Let me get right to the point. Laurie and her team were just great ( listing person, closing person Laurie herself,Etc.) However my realtor, Matt Weiner left a lot to be desired! He never came up with a creative way to sell my house, spent practically no time @ my open houses, and never even called me after my house was sold. In fact, Laurie was the one who made it possible to sell the house only after a conference call with her and Matt. However, he did send me a pre-printed note with a $5 Starbucks gift card. Really, the guy just made $1000's for doing nothing more than listing my house and he sends me a $5 Starbucks gift card. Yeah, I know the law says he can't spend more than $25, but this guy didn't even do that! I have worked with Matt Weiner from Laurie's Team to sell my townhouse and have had a very positive experience. Before picking Matt, I have interviewed several other agents and Matt suggested a listing price significantly higher than all the others. I was a little skeptical, but Matt seemed to have good reasons and was very down to earth so I decided to go along with him. Sure enough, the townhouse had multiple offers within a few days, with a couple above the asking price. Throughout the process, Matt was very responsive to texts and phone calls and kept me up to date. Everything went smoothly until a few days before closing when I discovered some water damage to a drywall that was behind furniture which hasn't been moved for years. Due to the limited time before closing, we couldn't locate a handyman to fix the drywall and when the buyers saw the damage at the walk through inspection, they started asking for concessions. We couldn't agree on a fair amount of credit and I thought that the sale might fall through. Let me start off by saying in defense of my former Agent, Melissa, she caught me at a bad time. I was frustrated and over the home buying experience and ultra sensitive at this point. I expressed this to Melissa who pursued me anyway and was pretty aggressive at poaching me from my agent/broker at the time. I stressed to her I was no longer interested in buying a home, and that I needed some time regroup. She pressed on, so I went in and met with her. All was good, I left feeling confident and renewed my interest in home ownership. Melissa told me about a home and because the listing agent was out of the same office, she was comfortable submitting an offer a little above my price point and less than list price. Initially thru the process, Melissa was responsive, then gradually she begin to be less available. I could reach her by text or email only. I do not need my hands held, but as a first time home buyer, that is already frustrated with the process, I expected a more personable, professional relationship. Who sends a text stating an offer was accepted, cancelled, countered, etc? After I placed an offer on the home, I begin, along with my inspector to do some due diligence. Turns out, the roof was not in the condition as stated in the listing, nor by the listing agent that I met at the open house. I brought my concerns up to Melissa who became annoyed, and gave me the feeling she had an alliance with her colleague/listing agent and that's where her loyalty was. That coupled with the fact that she primarily communicated via text irked the mess out of me. Additionally, after placing my offer, I felt as though I was passed off to the support group of the agency. I received calls from team members that I didn't expect. Don't get me wrong, it made sense that the title company and the other person (not sure what Cynthia's role is) reached out, but the process was not explained to me by Melissa. I guess the steps were too much to type via text. Didn't hear from her again until I raised concerns about the condition of the roof. Once my offer was accepted by the seller I had one live call with her... ONE. And that was about the roof. I called to express my concerns about the roof, spoke to her verbally and expected a call back. nah, she responded via text , followed up with a forwarded email from the seller. Go figure. As a result of the condition of the roof coupled with the lack of communication and support from Melissa, I decided to move on from the home and the agency. I swear, Its been over a week and I still did not receive the signed cancelled contract as I requested. The home has been relisted with a price reduction so I assume I'm in the clear from a contractual position. I called to confirm I had no contractual obligation with the agency and spoke with Laurie. Very nice person. However, I must say, people in sales, especially those that have had lots of success, do not know how to turn the sales pitch off. She repeatedly cut me off, and was simply playing nice to get a feel for where I was in my home search to determine whether I was still a viable client worth pursuing. I could be wrong and apologize if so... I did my own selling and stated I will keep them in mind when I resume my quest and had no harsh feelings towards Melissa. *shrugs* The hardest part about buying a home is finding a trusted, dependable agent/broker to see you thru the process. I don't need a friend, just an experienced competent guide. read more
