We left home in Centreville, Alabama without my husband's insulin pens. After several hours of traveling, we stopped to eat, and then realized NO INSULIN. We continued heading toward our destination, checking each town for a CVS. The nearest one was Saraland. After explaining our situation, they did not hesitate looking up my husband's information in their networked system. Filled the needed prescription and we were again on our way. Completely unacceptable experience. Dropped off a prescription for antibiotics and a cough medicine…read morearound 1:20pm. Shortly after, they sent a text saying the meds were ready for pickup. Upon arrival, the line was wrapped around the building so we waited 37 minutes. Since he was sick, we didn't want to go inside. When it was finally our turn at the window, the girl told us they didn't have the antibiotics because they were out of stock. I asked why they couldn't have called us to let us know. She said we should've got a text. My husband showed his phone where the only text received said that the meds were ready for pickup. She said she didn't know, and they would see if they could find them at another pharmacy and give us a call if they do, then shut the door. No "have a nice day" or "sorry we screwed up and didn't call you and lied about them being ready" or anything.
