At the same time mom and dad were in the hospital just on different floors. Dad with the stroke and mom with pneumonia. This last stroke paralyzed dad putting him in a nursing home. Mom and dad could not afford the nursing home bills along with their home mortgage & utilities. Nancie and her partners helped us find funding for the nursing home and keep mom in their home. Shortly after mom was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. We were able to take care of her at her home and give her an additional 3.5 years to spend with her family.
