After months of spinning my wheels looking for a law firm in the Dallas area, and there seemed to be hundreds, one of my professional friends suggested Burch Law. I googled Burch Law and saw that its advertising wasn't the usual cookie cutter advertising that most firms use. It was colorful and inviting. Burch Law stood out from the rest of the pack ... with it's flying red horse logo and great video clips from Lorie Burch explaining what her firm offered without using a lot of legal mumbo jumbo. I called and made an appointment. Since I live near the Burch Law offices I called and made an in-person appointment. I met Melyssa and she explained how the Burch Law team would work with me to create a personalized estate plan. She was great! No pressure, just the information I needed to make an informed decision. Having Burch Law draw up my estate plan was one of the best decisions I have ever made for myself. I am very impressed by their attention to detail; I had a team with whom to work. A great lawyer, Struti, a great case manager, Sam, and of course Melyssa who I first met. I felt very supported throughout the process. Another thing that really impressed me was when I'd message a question that it was promptly answered. Burch Law continues its support even after the papers have been signed and notarized. It's a wonderful feeling knowing my estate is fully protected and that I have a team to call with any future questions and/or needs. BTW I wholeheartedly recommend Burch Law for your legal needs.

Going through a…read moredivorce is overwhelming, emotional, and scary in ways you don't fully understand until you're in it -- and Jessica was a steady, calming, and incredibly strong presence for me every step of the way. From the very beginning, she made me feel heard, respected, and protected. She took the time to explain everything clearly, answered my questions with patience and kindness, and never made me feel like I was "just another case." During moments when I felt anxious or unsure, Jessica's confidence and reassurance gave me peace of mind and the strength to keep going. What truly sets her apart is how deeply she cares about her clients while still being sharp, strategic, and relentless when it comes to advocacy. She handled complex and sensitive issues with incredible attention to detail and professionalism, always keeping my best interests at the center of everything she did. Because of Jessica, I felt empowered instead of defeated during one of the hardest times of my life. I am beyond thankful for her guidance, dedication, and compassion. If you are looking for an attorney who is not only exceptionally skilled but also genuinely cares about you as a person, I cannot recommend Jessica Fresch highly enough.

If you're a Muslim client wondering if this firm can truly help, this is for you…read more I came to Kelly and Spencer after feeling like my previous attorney was ready to give my ex-husband everything--including the kitchen sink--while disregarding the cultural and religious weight of my requests. When I told my previous lawyer the significance of getting my gold back, he said, "Just ask for his 401k instead." From the very first meeting, Kelly and Spencer went above and beyond. My main issue was that my husband had stolen my dowry and refused to pay the remainder. Some lawyers seemed uncomfortable dealing with that, but not Kelly. She listened to my story with genuine care and immediately understood the reality: I was dealing with an abusive entitled man who expected me to pay the bills while he lived off me. She ended our first meeting saying we'd get my gold back. Kelly and Spencer wasted no time. Kelly told me my initial offer--which only asked for my Islamic rights--was far too kind, considering I was paying rent, covering utilities, working, and doing most of the housework. Still, she respected my wish to stay true to my faith. We sent a Rule 11 agreement to exchange his belongings (which I had already offered) in return for what was mine. Opposing counsel dragged us into court anyway. That's where Kelly and Spencer truly shined. They could teach a master class on presenting a case clearly and powerfully in under 20 minutes. Kelly built a sharp, compassionate narrative: what the dowry signifies, how my husband freeloaded and abused me, and even his audacity to claim that money I spent on my father's car (Islamically, solely mine) was community property. She prepped me down to the smallest detail--so when I took the stand, I was ready. Right before the hearing, opposing counsel tried to cut a deal: give back the gold if I let him keep my watch. Kelly didn't even blink and said "No chance, we're getting all of it back." In court, opposing counsel tried to keep me on the stand so his client wouldn't have to testify. But thanks to Kelly and Spencer's prep, their plan backfired. Kelly guided the court through the reality of my marriage: from the time my ex-husband assaulted me and left me bleeding, to the financial exploitation while I carried rent, bills, and housework alone, to the final days when he demanded I continue living with his abusive mother despite my pleas for safety. Spencer pointed out that in my ex-husband's sworn responses, he didn't list the dowry or jewelry at all--instead claiming land my father had supposedly "promised" him. Spencer showed this for what it was: a baseless attempt to take what was never his. The judge ruled in my favor--ordering my ex to return all my gold and belongings. She went beyond the usual scope of temporary orders by explicitly recognizing my dowry and asking me directly what it was. While she noted final ownership would be decided at trial, her ruling carried the weight of a preemptive judgment. It was a massive win in limited time, with all the nuance my case required. Despite our win in court, my ex still refused to hand over some items in the Rule 11. Kelly stayed on call on a Saturday, taking my sister's calls as she went to retrieve them from his parents' house. My ex hired armed guards to intimidate her, and his family flicked her off--which was caught on tape. Thankfully, I had the sheriff accompany her, who documented the intimidation for court. Meanwhile, my ex still had the nerve to send emails demanding petty items like a $10 pair of scissors and hairbrush. He even listed things I bought before I met him, claiming they were community property. Spencer handled those demands with grace and firmness. TLDR: If you're a Muslim client wondering whether McClure can handle the nuance of your case in a world that can often feel Islamophobic, the answer is absolutely yes. Kelly and Spencer not only know the law, they know how to tell your story with the cultural and religious context it deserves. They fight with precision, compassion, and respect--making sure you're truly heard.
