Explained I had a plumbing leak and the basement had flooded; that we had got the water out but now needed get the stuff out of my basement in order to get a plumber down there and give them space to work. The owner, Shawn, gave me prices and what to expect. I specifically said there was a "fair amount" of stuff to remove, mostly old broken furniture and mattresses that had accumulated over the years. Even offered to send pictures when I got home, which he said was not necessary. I let him know I would be at work, but I would make sure there was an adult present and nothing down there is salvageable and was mainly just large items that I couldn't get to the dump myself, so I was not overly concerned with them taking anything they shouldn't. He said it would be $125 for the truck bed, but he also had a large trailer if it was to go over and depending on how much of the trailer was used would determine the final cost. We scheduled for the following week. He told me he had a couple jobs in the morning of the scheduled day and would be there after they were done, around 2 PM. On the day of removal, the guys showed up an hour early at 1PM to "pick up a sectional couch" and were not prepared for a clean out and did not even have the correct trailer for the job. I was able to make contact with the owner in an attempt to sort things out while his guys were at the house. He was EXTREMELY rude, talking over me, and ranting that he gets 20 calls a day and was concerned that he was his paying people "to stand around" for a 4-minute phone call while we tried to figure things out. There is NO WAY I hired him to pick up a sectional couch, nor was there any mention of a sectional during our initial conversation. I have never even owned a sectional couch in my life. I could get past the "mix-up" (I get that shit happens) and even would have been open to rescheduling with no hard feelings, but after the way he deals with customers - I am absolutely appalled. What's worse is I have recommended his services to several of my friends over the years - and while I had never used his services myself, send a lot of business his way in an effort to support small business in the area. Never again!
