Having been a customer I can assure people, The store doesnl' sell weaponry to the irresponsible. As a serious collector of old militaria and firearms it is heaven for me. Rare spares, renewed military rifles, even obsolete ammunition can be found.
Those interested in shooting seriously as a member of a Military Firearms Club (and SSAA has a number of ranges with associated MFC Disciplines competing) this is the place to kit up. They have some venerable articles well worth drooling over. I know many people want to be nine mile snipers, with the latest in tactical kit, but shooting competitively with grandad's old gun from the war is a real challenge.
As always, to purchase firearms you need to be a licensed shooter, with appropriate permits to acquire things. For knives and bayonets likewise, Go in, talk with the staff, ask about shooting clubs near you, and training courses. And don't forget to salivate appreciatively over the firearms on display. I saw a refurbished1903 Springfield sniper rifle in the store catalog the other day.
Just into knives and pointy things - well, I pity you. But they are here if you are looking for that hard to find collectible. Don't expect a bargain though, as the staff know what things are actually worth. You won't find a hidden treasure at a huge discount, but you will find some great collectibles. read more
