The poppadums, mint yoghurt and onion salsa you receive when you first arrive are complimentary. The menu is fantastic. you can get your standard baltis, korma's etc here but they have a fantastic range of very authentic dishes. And the price of the dishes never exceed about £7-8 so it is very affordable. The food is cooked to perfection, you can request changes in your meal and as long as it wont alter the taste to much they will be more than happy to accomodate. The restaurant is unlicensed but this makes for a very pleasant experience, as you do not encounter drunks coming in after closing hours after a pint and vindaloo. (There is an off license 2 mins walk away so can take your own drink in) The restaurant decor is very comtempoarary and the young owners are very pleasant to talk to. I am really sad that I do not live in Acocks Green anymore, purely as I miss Imlee's but I do make special trips to see them now and again. If you enjoy real Indian cuisines please go there you will not be disappointed!!!

I tried this chippy in the early days and the quality of food was rubbish and service was aweful. But now i recently had a chance of trying this place again and i got to say that what a great change... this new management has really transformed this chippy place into one tasty Halal fast food and most importantly the price is still a great bargain. All the stuff are fresh and cooked in daily basis. They have all the usual selection of fast food items. The staff is young and energetic and really they have given life to this place.. this is the only good chippy place in my area for now apart from the big names...

Food 4/5 Food has generally been consistently good, not great but much better than many other Chinese take-outs. They also have a special 'healthy' menu, great for vegetarians too. Service 5/5 The staff are always really polite and very helpful. very fast and service with a smile. Atmosphere 4/5 Never met any drunks or idiots here while waiting for food, which is a bonus Value 5/5 Consistently good food and friendly staff. It's funny how you can't shake places even when they are no longer local. Arriving home at a late hour to find no food in the fridge meant I either headed back into Harborne (if the shops were still open), or I ate from the Court Oak Garden. I was particularly partial to their Chicken Curry, and even now I still get cravings for it. These days, when such a craving hits, I have to drive 20 minutes to get here. Don't let that put you off, though, as this is one of my favourite Chinese Takeways in the area and I've been a fan since I lived in B17 in the late 90s/early 2000s. These days, when we're over at our friends house in nearby Quinton, this tops my list of suggestions for a meal to share over X Factor on a rainy and boozy Saturday night. The ingredients are always fresh and the food never has that stewed and over-cooked feel that you get from some Chinese takeaways. The starters in particular are good, which I think is always a good sign of a decent and caring chef. The prices are pretty much what you'd expect from such a place - around £8-£12 a head if you're feeling hungry enough for a few courses.
