I own SoCal Powerlifting in Irvine and we have always done well, however I knew that we were lacking on marketing. Marketing is one of those things that you know is super important, but a lot of the time you just throw money at someone, or an ad and just "hope" it works out. Garrett was referred to me by my business coach. My website was in need desperate need for updating but I wasn't sure on the direction I wanted to take it. During our first consultation, I spoke with Garrett for about an hour going over ideas, designs details, and my target demographic. We chatted several times after that. Garrett was extremely patient and accommodating during the entire process, even after I decided to make some last minute changes to my target demographic and concept. He went as far as changing the font style to better suit these changes - a small, yet important detail I never would have thought of myself. It's the intricate details that are often overlooked by many that Garrett has a unique eye for. It made the entire experience not only fun, but he also taught me some marketing and design strategies along the way! I contacted Layman's for a logo. When I called, it was the owner who picked up the phone. Instead of referring me to somebody else, he chatted with me for 45 minutes, asking about my company and listening to my story. Then, he personally took on my case, drew my logo, and then delivered the finished product nearly 3 days ahead of schedule. Awesome experience, couldn't recommend enough!! read more

I've been screwed so many times by marketing people, but a friend of mine recommended these guys so I decided I'd give it one last go. Man, am I glad I did. These guys actually took the time to learn about my business and didnt rush me along when I was explaining what had worked and what hadnt so far. Idk when ill need marketing help again but i know for sure i'll be getting it from Laymans. read more

I decided to give Engine Supply a try after my previous engine developed a major oil consumption…read moreafter a rebuild. I have yet to disassemble and determine the cause on that engine. I needed some cylinder head refresh work done on a replacement engine and took my head here. It's for a bmw s54 engine. I understand Engine supply does a lot of domestic work but will also do European and Japanese engines. After speaking with one of the guys, I found out that it's a family owned and operated company. The guys are definitely knowledgeable. The cylinder was picked up and was in great clean condition as expected by a good machine shop. What impressed me was they took me to the back to show my cylinder head during assembly when I dropped off my valve seals. The shop is well organized and clean. When I picked up the cylinder head, the Machinist who worked on my cylinder head also mentioned that the valves were returned in the exact order it was removed, which makes putting the shims I removed back it the same order easier to adjust the valve clearance on assembly. The cylinder head was assembled back into the used block. And is now running in the car without any oil consumption. It has done multiple track days without issue. I'm very happy with their work and can vouch that you are getting top notch quality work. Thank you Engine Supply Team! -Clarence

I was told my backdrop couldn't be done in two days, I was told that my image's resolution was too small, and other printing shops never responded. Z from RedDot Printing responds within minutes. He told me the same thing about my backdrop's resolution being to low for a huge printout, but what set him apart was that he took the time send me an email on how fix it so that he can print it. Once I fixed the image with his advice he said, "I can get that done in two days." and he delivered! I placed the order midday on a Wednesday and it was ready for pickup by 2:00PM on Friday. Pick up was seamless. He knew exactly who I was without introducing myself, he was friendly, full of personality, and so sweet. He unrolled the backdrop to show me his work and it was PERFECT! His price was cheaper than I imagined especially since this was a last minute request. I have been screwed over BIG TIME by "marketing" experts in the past. From branding, videography, and social media work, it's not been a fun ride for my business. So needless to say, I was quite apprehensive to sign on with someone and jump back into the abyss of over-promises and costly under deliveries. I was recommended from a friend to Garrett. I told him briefly my past experiences and he assured me he was going to make sure I was happy with the results. I SURE WAS!
