Bar food is ok but don't bother calling in an order. If the bar is busy they will turn you away which happens 75% of the time I call.

Food is good but service is always horrendously slow and borderline rude. Preferential treatment for regulars / relatives / friends. For example last night they said their kitchen was closed & cooked several Frozen pizzas for a table where the bartenders wife happened to be sitting. Meanwhile we have a table or 8+ who would have ordered $100+ in food and much more in drinks. This isn't the first time this has happened - we've been here on and off for the last 5 years and it hasn't gotten better. It's really unfortunate because their food is good. read more

Reviewing for Bar & Gill. Easy parking and plenty of comfortable seating inside. I especially like the atmosphere which seems to weigh heavy to the "Grill". I put this one in the category with "family appropriate" grills. Lower volume then average and lack of cursing makes this place where I take my kids for burgers. Large portions of hand made burgers, wraps, sandwiches and salads and lots of appetizers that taste great. I recommend any day of the week. Great food. Burgers, chili cheese fries, hot sandwiches...they got it down. Their French dip is one of my favs in town. Only downside is that it's not an ideal joint for good customer service from the servers. Professionalism is minimal, due to attire and attitudes that I have witnessed. read more

This place was recommended by an employee at my hotel during a recent motorcycle trip. She told me their burgers are the best in town, and a good burger sounded really good. This place is cool, and has a great vibe and atmosphere. Super friendly waitress and a great menu. I ended up trying their cajun bacon burger. It was not a mass produced, typical bun. It was more of an artisan bun that I really enjoyed. The burger itself was delicious and well seasoned. Fries were perfectly crispy on the outside and warm and moist on the inside. Service was super friendly, and fast, and my burger was well above average. If in the area again I will not hesitate to stop in. read more

We visit the Bemidji area often and were looking for somewhere different to eat as we were tired of always going to the same old places. We tried this place outside of town on a whim and were very pleased! Very good food (I had the Rachel sandwich with a cold beer) with excellent service. We frequent lazys at least once a month due to it being so close to where we live and the food is always awesome!! Have to recommend the fried pickles!!! We get a basket every time we go! They also have an event room that is private from the rest of the restaurant. Highly recommend !! read more

The name is appropriate. Everything about this place is lazy. 3 out of 4 meals had to be sent back. Two of them because they burnt the chicken strips. Yes, they couldn't manage chicken strips. The waitress was embarrassed to deliver them because they were so clearly burnt, but deliver them she did. My wife had some sort of cheesesteak sandwich. She lifted it up and roughly 1/4 cup of grease came gushing out the end. Sickening. read more

Went there with my dad because of the burgers. Damn good sandwich, with side. Top 3 burgers in town. Downside was the environment. Just seemed like a super dive bar. Booths are Shit, TVs is weird locations, service was alright. Summertime I'd take up time on the patio, but inside could use just a small face lift. But like I said, DAMN good burgers. read more

We moved here about 6 months ago, and this has become one of our favorite places to just grab something to eat and have a beer. There's always sport on the TV, and on Sunday they have $5 pitchers. Now that it's getting warmer, they have volleyball tournaments during the week on the beach volleyball courts, and that's really fun to watch. read more

This review is actually for their new restaraunt "the Bunkhouse" which is ran by the same owner. They provided really great food! We tried their specialty burger named after their restaurant. I have had really good experiences here as well as really bad ones. The first time in, they were really busy and they had one person taking drink orders, another taking food orders, and another running food. Nobody seemed to want to bother keeping drinks filled. Our food came out cold, not like it cooled to room temp, but more like it never got cooked all the way, cold. We had to go to the bar and ask for our check when we wanted to go, then go to the bar again to leave it. Nobody was around at the time, so I left the bill and the money on the rail. I just hoped they got it... The next time in was pretty decent. I had the prime rib sandwich and it was excellent. They weren't as busy and things went well. The last time I was in, it was also not super busy but the only server paid a lot more attention to some tables than others. I'm guessing they were regulars by the way she was chatting with them, but when you sit at the table for nearly 10 minutes without being greeted and then see her greeting others immediately, it makes you not want to go back. read more

Our family absolutely loves Lazy Jacks. They have a great atmosphere, amazing service and a unique and delicious menu! Their Wanagan sandwiches are so good. The interior is inviting, fun, and very clean. They offer weekly food and drink specials, dart boards, and bar games. One of our favorites for sure. read more

Tourons beware! 3 out of 4 meals had to be returned. We were staying at Bemidji State Park and were looking for a good meal one night. Due to good reviews by locals we stopped into Lazy Jack's. The first meal I wanted they were out of. I went with a steak sandwich that came out positively swimming in grease. It was dripping off my sandwich the moment I picked it up. My husband's meal and daughter's meal also had to be returned because their chicken tenders were burned nearly black. The waitress acknowledged it while delivering the food but served us the burned food anyway. It took quite a long time for the replacements to be delivered. They took money off our tab for the poor quality of the food, but it ended up being nearly an hour of time wasted in a very dirty restaurant. There were dead bugs on the windows, bathroom filthy, etc. Oh - and NO MILK in the restaurant. I don't know about you other parents, but that is a deal breaker for me. I know this is listed as a bar, but most bars also carry milk. :) read more

Just walk out the door not being served. In town for a couple days and thought we would try this place for dinner. There was no place to sit. 3 dirty tables and when we asked the server said he would get to it. 15 minutes 3 other groups served and he decides to clean the other table instead of the one we were at. We went in expecting a great prime rib experience, came away disappointed. The meat was not cooked to order, "medium" and "well done" came out rare, cook said the meat was so thick and grill so hot it was hard to cook inner part without burning the surface. Salad greens seemed less than fresh, bread sticks and waffle fries were okay. Everything was served at once, so steak cooled while eating dinner salad. Service was fine. Beer selection was also adequate. Probably won't be back for prime rib, may try burgers in the future. read more
