However, that evening, we were very disappointed. It must be said that the restaurant was almost empty. My wife ordered the Stimpson's surf clams au gratin, and it was overcooked and very greasy, compared to what she had eaten before. She then ordered the salmon tartare. The dish looked good, but the tartare lacked flavor and was bland (I would recommend going to Shakers further down the street). The fried lasagna strips were not crispy at all, nor were the croutons in the Caesar salad. I ordered the cod in a pastry crust, Italian style. Although everything was good, the piece of cod was very small, maybe five tiny bites at most, and the amount of pasta on the plate would have been enough for two people. The only positive thing about our experience was that our server, Guillaume, was courteous and friendly. He suggested a good wine to accompany our meal and took good care of us. Even after mentioning it was my birthday, I didn't receive the birthday discount advertised on the restaurant's website, which added to our disappointment. The value for the meal vs price was not there. I don't know if the kitchen wasn't working properly that evening or if they were understaffed, but our experience was extremely disappointing. I don't think I'll be returning for a special occasion.

The Host was friendly, she offered us English menus after pleasantries. But then it came time for our server who took our order and then disappeared. I finally had to get up and say it's been about 35 minutes where's our food cause there's only 10 other people in the whole restaurant. He finally went and got it. The poutine was delicious. I had it with the ground beef, and it came with a little bit of aïoli on top as well as the very peppery brown gravy. Also, we ordered a burger and fries. The burger was perfectly cooked had kind of a sweet caramel onion and sweet sauce on it. The french fry side order was very small, but tasty with a rosemary aïoli dip. It would've been a pleasant experience had the service not been so bad & on such a slow afternoon. And then the cost seemed overpriced for poutine in a burger and an iced tea fifty bucks, plus 15% gratuity was only option on the pay system. Regret I had to tipped so high on such poor service. I suppose if you were just going for the bar for a beer and to watch a sports game it probably would work out as a nice place to go, as we saw other fellows doing. But we sure wasted a lot of our traveling day here.

What an amazing smooth drink. Then we shared a plate of delicious calamari which was tossed fresh tomatoes cut salsa, a very filling cesar salad and three tacos of shrimps, cod and chicken. Everything was beautifully presented, and they were amazingly succulent. We had the most excellent time here.
