The melted cheeses were creamy and smooth, and the crepes themselves were the perfect texture--not too thin and not too thick. The entrees came with soup (I choose lentil soup) and a small mixed-greens salad with dressing. We both opted for raspberry vinaigrette, and enjoyed how light it was with just a touch of sweetness. The other two diners in our group both ate sausages and said they were superb! My wife ordered the Stimpson's surf clams au gratin, and it was overcooked and very greasy, compared to what she had eaten before. She then ordered the salmon tartare. The dish looked good, but the tartare lacked flavor and was bland (I would recommend going to Shakers further down the street). The fried lasagna strips were not crispy at all, nor were the croutons in the Caesar salad. I ordered the cod in a pastry crust, Italian style. Although everything was good, the piece of cod was very small, maybe five tiny bites at most, and the amount of pasta on the plate would have been enough for two people. The only positive thing about our experience was that our server, Guillaume, was courteous and friendly. He suggested a good wine to accompany our meal and took good care of us. Even after mentioning it was my birthday, I didn't receive the birthday discount advertised on the restaurant's website, which added to our disappointment. The value for the meal vs price was not there. I don't know if the kitchen wasn't working properly that evening or if they were understaffed, but our experience was extremely disappointing. I don't think I'll be returning for a special occasion.
