Nice first breakfast after we arrived in Paris. My ham and cheese open faced sandwich was decent, although the cheese wasn't really fully melted on the bread? Wife enjoyed her pancakes.

Unintentionally, I have eaten at Cafe le Bistro twice on two different trips to Paris and both times I just sort of ended up in front of it. It has a convenient location near Gare du Nord as well as some decently priced hotels. I first tried Cafe le Bistro as I was searching for some French onion soup. It has a good version of the soup and I was happy. :) It also has other typical French cuisine and the prices are average. It's probably not worth going out of your way to eat here, but if you happen to be standing right in front of it, it's not a bad option at all!

We asked a local for recommandations near our hotel and she suggested this place. The price looked reasonable and the menu looked good. Since we were a sunday and many places were closed, we decided to try this place. I had le déjeuner nordique and it came with a croissant, a plain yogurt, a freshly pressed orange juice, egg and smoked salmon and a hot chocolate for 12.90 euros. The price was ok, but I was expecting the portion to be bigger. The food was very normal and didn't have anything special. As for the service, the waitress isn't friendly and was a bit rude. They also charge 10% service fee. Don't think I would go back.

Stumbled upon this after there was a 2 hour wait for Holybelly . Had the Brunch order which for 22€ you get nearly everything that you can imagine: -a juice (apricot, tomato, or pineapple -hot drink (of your choice) -eggs benedict -eggs scrambled -yogurt with fruit and granola -fruit -salad -sausage, chorizo, ham, shrimp, and smoked salmon AND their croissants, which are included are DELICIOUS. Everything was delicious. Everyone could speak conversational english and customer service was on point. Glad we came. Mercí!

It was really the worst breakfast I ve ever had. To expect a easy Croissant and scrabble egg is not the biggest thing in the world. But if you get ur scrabble eggs and it looks like that somebody shit on your plate?!?!? Btw the taste was not that far away,.... Sorry but better don't go there. Restaurants like that should learn how to act with food. My French is really bad, but for that it's enough Catastrophe

Terrible service - left after 25 min of waiting for our order to be taken. If you're American, I would avoid.

Decent people watching, or if you want to watch the long line at Holybelly just a few doors down. Typical overpriced Parisian "brunch."

Best meal we had for a casual dine in during 10 days in Paris. Great service. Exceptional food. At a fair price.

Luca was my server and he was very welcoming in hospitable to this weary traveler. I sat on the patio towards the end of the row so I could take in the atmosphere and people watch a bit. Luca Recommended a meal with a mashed potatoes and sausage with French bread and salad and it sounded tasty so I gave it a go! All the flavors went well together; mashed potatoes were well seasoned the sausage had a good flavor, and the salad with the vinaigrette added a crunch in an extra flavor as well. I drank a French hard cider while I gobbled up my meal, which also was new for me and tasted great after I was done my meal. Luke brought me a shot with rum and some other ingredients, including lemon that definitely hit the spot after a good meal.I recommend Brasserie Belanger for anyone near GDN Train Station that enjoys great food and patio dining. Cheers!

The restaurant itself isn't small, but really not big, so it's definitely worthwhile to make a reservation at least a week or so on advance, otherwise you're pushing your luck. Everyone ordered steak frites (2 rump steak, 2 flank) and no one was disappointed. Steaks were cooked to order, although medium here in France is more like medium rare in the States, just be advised. The restaurant itself is lively and fun with lots of chatting, laughing and good times being shared. Desserts were Crème Brûlée and Apple Crumble, neither of which were disappointing. We definitely enjoyed our dinner and would likely return again. This time with a reservation made well in advance.

Throughout our trip from Provence, Basque Country and Paris, I joked that they must hate me for ordering my beef med b/c it was so much tougher compared to our beef. Anyway, it's just different. Our server spoke English fluently and was such a hoot...full of personality & joy. Per his recommendation, we ordered it med-rare b/c it continues cooking table side on the sizzling platter. We ate too much. It's a lot of food to split the cote de boeuf btn two. Comes with very good chubby fries and 3 sauces. TBH, I didn't love the sauces. Luckily we walked 6miles that day and skipped lunch. Started with a garden salad, but sadly we had no room for dessert. Reservations via email. Making a reservation isn't hard but you do need to email them and there's no online booking system. You also have to confirm again 1-2 days before. I understand they are small with a limited number of tables so that's fair and it seemed like everyone showed up even though they don't require a deposit. On a Friday night, it didn't appear there was much chance or walking in although there were like 2 open seats at what would have been a shared table. The menu is small and includes some typical French starters, steaks, 3 non steak entrees, cheeses, and dessert. All steaks come with potatoes, 3 sauces, salad. Service was a highlight. The waiter was personable and funny, had solid recommendations, and made sure leftovers were taken home. Also had a solid wine recommendation after asking some questions. They probably get a lot of people who don't speak French and they had no problem speaking English. The food- ordered a ribeye medium rare. The steak was so so charred on the outside and it almost ruined the whole thing. I really wish they would have charred it way less especially when it was ordered medium rare. There is seared and then there is burnt; this was sadly the latter. The steak itself was fine, honestly nowhere near the best meat I have had but the price is quite reasonable for how much you get. I would say the steak was maybe 6/10 for me, largely due to the cooking. The fries were phenomenal. Definitely a highlight and really tasty and with a great texture. Salad was good, pretty typical. I wanted to like the sauces more but found them just okay. The best by far for me was the blue cheese sauce but even this one I thought the flavors could have popped a little more. Atmosphere was fun, there were a few bigger groups (6-8 which is the biggest they accommodate) but it never got unreasonably loud. Overall I wanted to love it but was a bit disappointed even though the service and fries were both great.

We were so looking forward to the frog legs, onion soup and other delicacies pictured. We got there and the sign was just as it was with the same name -- Au Pied du Sacre Coeur. We should've noticed something was wrong when no one was inside. When the waiter (lone person working along with cook) gave us the menu, my wife and I stared at each other completely confused. The menu looked nothing like the ones on this website and featured Italian food items, like spaghetti, arroz con pollo or mozarella. I asked him about frog legs or the onion soup. He looked confused and just said no. Out of respect for him, we just ordered the charcuterie, which featured stale bread and a few slices of meat taken from my local grocery store in the U.S. Also -- they claimed to not accept any international credit cards. WHAT HAPPENED? Are all these reviews fake? Most likely, they underwent new ownership right when we visited. But new visitors -- please beware. Do not trust any of the reviews before mine. The free Cote du Rhône glass was appreciated for check-in! Our server had his head permanently at a 30 degree angle, staring at his mobile. Tis a shame. But he was friendly ( oh, and easy on the eyes). I liked the quiet location out of the chaotic fray, like up the street, with all its smoking and volume. PS This is lover's type of location. Even the dark end of the small street feels illicit!
