The thing with second hand bookstores, they can either be in a state of complete chaos, where the book title you're looking for *may* be there but because nothing is organized, you may miss it altogether OR the bookstore can be so meticulously and methodically well-organized that you end up walking out with some book titles you weren't even looking for in the first place. This is what happened to me at Beazley Books located in the quaint and picturesque Pointe-Claire village. The owner was also very nice and seemed to know quite a bit about the writers I picked up. Yeah, I know it's the West Island, but the distance is a lot longer in your head than it really is. I actually timed myself and found that I was there in 30 minutes flat from Lionel Groulx metro on the weekend. It's definitely worth a visit. While you're here you can browse the other many cute little shops, and grab some lunch at the local cafe

I was looking for something specific and unfortunately they didn't cary it. However, they got amazing books and artsy stuff lots of cute things in between. I got something very cute for valentines day so hopefully the husband won't be reading this review lol They did tell me that they're getting ready for valentines day and that they will be receiving more inventory soon I guess I came here way too early lol The service was very excellent and the girls were extremely friendly and attentive. Today we went to Librairie Clio for the first time. It was the last day of their Book Fair event…read moreand it was also Story Time with Curious George. I have a 14 month old who LOVES Curious George so we were very excited to be go. Of course, my Son slept through the whole thing but I LOVED it. There were quite a few parents there who were also enjoying story time just as much as their children were. The staff were very polite and helpful. We purchased two books for my Stepson and it was less than $20. The inside of the bookshop is very cozy, clean and inviting. They had great sale prices for the book fair and a really great section full of cards and tote bags. I will definitely be going back and I will be keeping my eyes open for future events for little ones.

All the books are in pristine collection and well organized. There is a children's section as well, with small kids toys, as well as a section advertising Klutz books for youth. Stationary, bookmarks and notepads are available too. I purchased three books and they gave me a thin cotton tote for free because I spent over $60. Great atmosphere and perfect for this location. The only thing lacking are chairs to sit on for browsing.
