THE BEST POUTINE! I…read moregrew up around Quebecois family and now that I live out of the country, when I get the opp to have poutine, I can only wish it is within La Belle Province, and especially from this little gem of a resto! The portions are immense, so either make sure you're super hungry or sharing with someone else. The fries are spot-on cooked to perfection, the gravy is just right (not too salty, not too liquidy) and of course the best part is the fresh squeaky cheese curds! And they are not shy about how much of this yummy white cheese they put on the portions. If you have never had a real poutine made with real squeaky cheese curds, then you're just plain missing out. We opted for the original creation, altho this location does offer alllllll kinds of poutine creations. My brother is a big guy (6'4") and a big eater, but he could barely finish his large order. He lives in Western Canada and stated that "they don't know what they're doing out there!" after eating this traditional Quebecoise poutine! I had a small and it was just right for my appetite. The eat-in space is small but cozy and not meant for a lengthy stay. The area is kept clean and tidy. Parking is okay, but can be sparse since the adjoined parking lot is small-ish. Good thing they offer drive-thru service, which our family use and prefer. Their feedback is that this mode of take away is always fast, friendly and delicious. Wheelchair accessible spaces. Bathroom is clean. Kudos to the VERY kind and VERY efficient team members who were working when we popped into the resto. They were willing to try their best at speaking English with my brother. He appreciated that! Merci! Thank you! This is the best of 4 poutine places we've tried in during our visits to Quebec, and it is ranked as number 1 in our experience!

On est allé vendredi soir et la fille qui nous a servi nous a très bien conseillé! Numéro unread more

You don't want to be let down with mediocre or sub mediocrity in terms of food. This place really hit the mark. Like a total home run! Firstly it's a cracking good bakery with fresh artisanal bread. Secondly they do very high quality coffee. Thirdly they have sandwiches, soup and other great lunch items. My lunch I selected a seafood soup. It was rich, not salty and deliciously home made. Also as my ancestors must have come from the sea I had a Gaspesian smoked mackerel sandwich. It was one of the best sandwiches I've had in quite some time. Like blew my mind how good it was. It was tiny morsels of smoked fresh fish, thin apple slices. Shredded cabbage and a very nice light dressing. Holy macaroni it was amazing. I'd never think I'd have a smoked mackerel sandwich but I may try to replicate it at home. To round off the meal I ordered a capucinno and it was totally on point. Creamy. Piping hot and strong yet not bitter. To bring back to the grand ville I brought back two loaves of bread. Crispy, crunchy and soft in the centre. You would think a cafe like this would be in the Mille end Montreal or on Ave McGuire in QC or in SOHO in NYC but it's wonderfully amazing! When I Think of the options of coming here or eating at a place like St Hubert it's clear in my mind where I'd rather spend my money!
