I got the chicken and avocado and my fiance got the beef. We also got a serving if yuca fries. I have to say the food is very filling and the portion sizes are more than enough. My fiance enjoyed his beef but my chicken and avocado wasn't anything to write home about. The orange sauce added a nice kick and was way better than the avocado sauce. I don't think I would have loved the sandwich since the plantains are not sweet... And an open face tapas size we got were just fine. Also it gets very busy and crowded and the door doesn't lock properly so people just leave it open or it swings open - not great when you're eating next to the door and it's freezing outside.

When you order fish and chips you're not getting british 'chips' nor 'fries' - what you get are are french, homemade chips (meaning crisps). But that is fine with me. The chips were very tasty, as well as the tartare sauce. I did not care much about the little side-salad. At 11€ the fish and chips were also quite good value for money (for Paris). It ain't 'the sunken chip', but I still liked it.

And then, there's the friendly people, always smiling and making you more of a fan of Cantine. I've eaten veggie burgers across Paris, and this place figures in the top three. It's a must visit, and the Cantine at Marche St Honoré has become more than a weekly affair. To sum up, the food and the people remind you of your close friends, and puts you in a comfort zone.

I was not disappointed. The pair that own the food truck were super friendly and helpful and enthusiastic about our enthusiasm. It was great. I got the Half Moon Bay Burger: Roquefort, blackened red peppers, lettuce, tomato, caramelized onions and of course a special sauce. The burger was done right, had enough fat so it wasn't dry and nasty and the bun was substantial and delicious. Oh, did I mention they offer SWEET POTATO FRIES? This is so uniquely American so obviously I got them. And they were spot on. To end the lunch I had a red velvet cupcake, that they gladly replaced for me when I received it, covered in walnuts (I'm allergic). The cupcake itself was a perfect level of moistness, and the frosting. Oh the frosting. Not cloyingly sweet, and had the perfect amount of cream cheese. I cannot wait to head back here for their blueberry pancakes/bacon combo some morning. (They have bottles and bottles of REAL maple syrup at your disposal...not to mention plentiful amounts of Heinz ketchup and HOT SAUCE. And some sort of caramel for their French toast.) It tasted really good but was a nightmare to eat. I resorted to using fork and knife (that they provide) halfway through as it all fell apart. Juiciness is a good thing and nobody likes a dry burger - but there has to be a way between dry like the desert and turns to soup into your hands ;) Value for money is an aspect where I struggle a bit. Despite the potatoe-bit in between, the burger wasn't really that filling and for that money you usually get a Burger of that size with an extra portion Fries that equals a main dish at a restaurant.
