I've had two children in this program, one that started at 9mos the other at 2 years. The teachers…read moreknow my children well, can interpret their needs, they aid tremendously in helping kids reach milestones (eating, potty training, moving to a cot, learning, etc.). I may have a different point of view than previous posters in terms of my expectations for activities in the infant room. I was OK with my kid being in a bouncer or excersaucer at a young age - to me, this is their activity at less than12 mos and I never felt that it was excessive. It has also been 3+ years since that post so things may have changed since then. We use full time care as an alternative to pre-school for the older child and I am also very satisfied with the level of learning she receives in preparation for Kindergarten.

I've received quite a few messages regarding my negative review of the Children's House, I'd like…read moreto add to my review there is a website available to look at inspection reports of day cares, and if you search this day care, you will see: http://www.odjfs.state.oh.us/cdc/view-inspection-pdf.asp?provider_number=CDCSFJNIVLNLNININI&inspect_date=05%2F08%2F2014&inspect_type=COMPLAINT Someone else (not me, instead I immediately removed my child after being handed a daily activity report that showed my child sat for most of the day) had filed a complaint, and it was stated in the report: Findings/Corrections Upon review of the observations, interviews, and written records, it was determined that the center's infant program did not provide adequate opportunities for both quiet and active play suitable to developmental levels, nor adequate periods of time for child initiated activities. Evidence reflects that some infants spend large portions of the day in equipment such as high chairs, cribs, bouncers, and exersaucers. Compliance Response Due by: 06/30/2014 I'd like to add the center would not reimburse the deposit (several hundred dollars) I gave, since I didn't give two weeks notice... there was no way I would bring my daughter to this place.

Our daughter has been going here for over a year, and it's been great! She started in the preschool…read moreclassroom and is now in pre-k 2. The teachers have been wonderful, only downside is that two of her teachers have turned over, but the new teachers they've brought in are great replacements. Primrose has very high standards for their teachers, which we appreciate. We also like the philosophy of balanced learning, and a structured daily schedule. We're confident our daughter will be well prepared for kindergarten thanks to the learning plans and environment Primrose creates. Additionally, the building and classrooms are very clean (I toured other places that were not as impressive). We also love that Primrose provides lunch and snacks! Not having to prepare food in the morning or night before is a fantastic perk.

My 20 month old was kicked out for biting within 5 weeks of her first bite here (after 3+ mo with…read moreno incidents after she started there). We did not get the state required incident reports when it allegedly happened. They assured us they were working with her but I can't see how that was true - or maybe it was just incompetence. I walked in on a Tuesday to pick her up and was told it was her last day despite being told we would get "as much time as we needed" for notice to find somewhere else if it got to that point. They couldn't even tell us to our faces what they were doing. She almost immediately stopped biting upon starting at another local school. This place has a fair amount of turnover in staff, many of whom have minimal experience in child care relative to the other comparable local schools. I have a lot of other things I could say about this place but simply put - I don't recommend it.
