Le Chemin du Safran was a welcome flavor oasis in the sea of French, Italian, and Greek cuisine my fiancee and I have been having on our travels. The pepper sauce, which came in addition to the typical tamarind and cilantro sauces, was especially good. As ignorant Americans, the owner and staff were very helpful with translating the menu for us and helping us select dishes to order. Everything we ate was delicious. Since I'm vegetarian and there generally isn't much on the menus in France for me, the owner generously offered to cook up my favorite Indian dish (mattar paneer) on our next visit. We also tried the owner's wife's dessert dish, which was a delicious mixture of figs and coconut and walnuts - a perfect way to finish off the meal. The food was flavorful, the portions were perfect, and we had full bellies but a very inexpensive bill upon leaving. I look forward to going back. read more
