Just so it is clear, I would never write or say libell or slanderous things and this is an honest review. My Google review of her business discussed even more issues with the same grooming appointment for all three of my dogs. Same haircut for all, jagged hair pieces left, scalping their bodies with clipper cuts, using a clipper to shave their noses all the same way very short and shaving over their eyes including shaving their eyelashes. I heard other dogs barking inside her home during drop off and pick up. What more is there to say. Honest reviews are not apparently affecting her business and she is coming back with replies nearly 3.5 months later. She offered on 9/22/25 via text to give me my money back for service that is true. I don't want my money back and it doesn't come close to covering. The costs of emergency veterinarian expenses which of course she never offered to cover.

We got an 8 week old golden retriever 'Penny' back in September, 2013, and 6 years later, we look back at the happiest and healthiest dog a family could ever own. We also purchased TWO golden puppies in November, 2018, as a surprise gift for a family member who had recently lost a beloved golden, and a year later, these two are 'rock stars!' We're now waiting for our fourth family golden from Mervar Kennel. It will be worth the wait. Judy Mervar's interest is purely to make sure that all her puppies find happy and healthy homes!

If your look for a dog trainer that will help you with all your behavioral issues, from mild to full blown aggression, Greg is the only call you need to make. She was so patient with her . And I'm pretty sure I've just found that person. Helen was warm and inviting, and it's clear she absolutely loves what she does. I brought my 9-month-old husky in for a nail trim. He's very fussy about his nails and I have issues trying to clip them myself. Helen didn't let that put her off and was patient with him, getting things done. She did everything she could to make him feel comfortable through the process. I can say I would totally feel comfortable leaving my boy with Helen for a "spa day." We'll for sure be going back for his nail trims in the future - with hopefully less squirming and fussing involved.

We have tried training and rewards with little improvement. Our vet has put him on Prozac. A very reputable doodle breeder in WI told us JWH kennels is known for shy, anxious dogs. JWH breeds for cuteness, not temperament. JWH has so many litters and so little socialization, it could be a puppy mill. We love our dog, but would not have brought him home if we had known more about this breeder.
