5 star? I think so for what it offers; it's basically a stop over for people travelling north/south in France who want a really good meal on the way. This is does exceptionally with great a friendly service from when you check in, a decent pool, beautiful grounds ("fairy tail" was the view of my kids as we walked outside to their table for their early dinner) and exceptional food. We had the tasting menu which was fundamentally quite traditonal French but with good introduction of Japenese ingredients and inspired presentation. My second favourite meal of 2012 so far (for the record the favourite is Viajante) and somewhere I would have no hesitation in returning to. read more

Un accueil déplorable ! Aucun sens commercial ! Inadmissible pour un Relais et Châteaux ! Nous avons souhaité réserver deux chambres et un repas de communion pour 10 personnes dans le restaurant gastronomique du Château d'Adoménil. Il fut impossible de négocier (avec Madame Leclère, une dame très peu agréable et très peu commerciale) un menu (2 entrées, un plat, un fromage, un dessert ) vins compris pour moins de 170 euros par personne. Nous souhaitions simplement un menu avec d'autres mets qui nous plaisaient davantage et peut-être moins onéreux à l'achat. Impossible de discuter : "C'est à prendre ou à laisser !" furent ses derniers mots... read more
