The town itself is picturesque and charming for a stroll (with or without some shopping). Seemed to be family run and the prix fixe menu was composed of four delicious options for appetizers, four main course dishes and four desserts. Everything was delicious and freshly cooked to order. We accompanied our meal with a reasonably priced bottle (€8) of Cidre du Normandy. Our tab for our family of four including the cider was €63. A steal given the awesomeness of everything we ate. I highly recommend. You will not be disappointed.

The wine list is just passable, but the food is pleasing in appearance and taste as a meal of the pays. In addition the town is the home of copper (cuivre) pots and before or after lunch shopping is delightful. At lunch you'll have to compete for a table with the locals. Isn't that the point?

Dinner in Mont Saint-Michel, France…read more.. We tried to dine at La Ferme Saint-Michel on the evening that we arrived, but we didn't have a reservation. My assignment from my friends was to get a reservation for 7:30pm for a party of 4 for the next day. I emailed the restaurant, then booked online. Everything was in French, so I guessed at how to answer the usual questions: How many in the party, time, and date requested. We parked for free in the gravel lot and walked in to a busy environment. Our table was in a connecting room where it seemed brighter and calmer. I chose the set meal for 45€. My starter was the duck salad which was nice and refreshing. The main entrée was the Salt Marsh Lamb Shoulder. It seemed like a patty made from shredded meat. Strange, but tender and moist! The dessert was Pont D'Orson. The cookie between the baked apple and scoop of ice cream was like the bridge between Mont Saint-Michel and the mainland. This restaurant was large and on the noisy side. It was an interesting foodie experience!

We tasted a wine of cidre bouchee, a kir normand and a local red wine in a pitcher. Very good, great attention to details from the kitchen. It may not be zee best of place for a novice in the culinary world but for someone with an educated palate it is a reat treat and it's affordable. 26 to 36 euros for dinner prix fixe. The restaurant itself is small but beautifully formed, the crockery and cutlery just add to the experience, the staff are friendly and the service is very good too.
