Overall, I was very pleased with my stay here. I traveled to Lille for work, and stayed for 6…read morenights in the Best Western Bellevue. The location is phenomenal - right in the heart of Vieux Lille, steps from the Rihour Metro station, and from tons of shops and restaurants. The rooms were spacious, clean and nicely decorated. Unlike previous reviewers, my bathroom had certainly been updated. It was also spacious with a full bath and hand-shower, a rarity by European standards. There was a flat-screen TV in my room, with 2 English channels, including BBC News. The room itself is decorated in a Henry XVI style (obviously not real antique furniture), fitting with the classic style of the hotel.
The only disappointments were: 1) Very thin walls - when neighbours watched TV or spoke on phone, I could hear everything. 2) The wireless internet was VERY slow and spotty, dropping out randomly, making Skype calls difficult. Internet access was free, so I suppose I shouldn't complain! If these two issues weren't present, I would certainly have given this hotel 5 stars.
