There's a small curved bar, with a 1/2 dozen seats or so on the main floor. Manned by a hipper than hip pony-tailed and expert barman, and seated with a fun and lively bunch of fellow patrons, the music wafts up unimpeded from the venue below.
Below, in the cellar, is a shotgun style hallway staged for performances at the far end. Tables line the walls the full way. The view of the stage is a bit tricky, with a curve at the end of the hall, though this is helped with the addition of closed circuit TV cameras and small monitors throughout.
The acoustics, and the music performance itself that we had enjoyed, were pretty darn fantastic. Fun, quirky little place. I understand the acts tend toward New Orleans style Jazz, nothing wrong with that as far as I'm concerned.
They are certainly set up for dinner concert seatings, but we had no trouble just ordering drinks. Drinks at $20 ea include the concert fee, additional drinks are $10 or so. A prix fixe dinner menu that includes the concert fee is 50EU.
Drinks upstairs are an even cheaper option, and the music can be heard just fine.
A little Jazz in Paris, just right, just right indeed.
