Wow..so many things were upsetting about this place. I'll just make a list:…read more 1. Parking was a nightmare. There is a small lot behind the building that is PACKED. There was one spot left when we arrived that was so tight I had to crawl out of the back of the car to get out. 2. The decor was so completely tacky and outdated. Like, BAD. Who cares about the decor, right? Well, when it's that bad you realize that you actually care at least a little bit. 3. An ocean-view room means that you are going to have their giant neon sign right outside of your window. They have blinds that block all the light, but you can't actually gaze out at the moon or ocean without that light hindering everything. Even during the day, it's just an eye sore. Based on photos I thought we were getting an awesome ocean view...not the case. Aside from that...no one spoke a lick of English. And I know...we're in France. But my husband spoke enough French to get through most places (even the restaurant we went to in the same town as this hotel), but the staff here wouldn't really try to communicate with him. It was a bit of a struggle when we tried to check in, despite already having a reservation that was paid in full. I guess this is a place to go if you are just looking to stay in a laid-back beach town without any frills.

The property is tucked away and it's not 100% clear where you need to go to check in. It is close to a tram stop, so walking with luggage isn't difficult. Rooms: My students were in doubles and those were tight. The AC was also not turned on yet and it got hot. I was in the 1st floor ADA room which was HUGE. I felt bad since I didn't need the those accommodations. So, it was far more spacious than my other rooms. Again, there needs to be more outlets, especially in the bathroom. The bathroom was fine except there was no curtain or anything to block the view. The toilet faced the window and the shower was in the open. I'm sure it met the needs for ADA but it was weird just looking out of the bathroom like that. Shower pressure was ok but water went everywhere. Plenty of storage in the room. Nice desk area too. The window opens which helps to get circulation. EXCEPT when people smoke right outside or above you and then that's all you smell. Breakfast/Restaurant: The best of the whole week. Lots of variety for breakfast. Prompt service and tasty food for dinner. Very popular. The front desk was kind enough to hold all our bags after checkout since our train didn't leave till late at night.
