Better space and ambiance that most of the other restaurants and really, really excellent crepes. First of all the choices were extensive. Much lighter and a much more flavorful crepe itself. Both of our crepes were filled generously as was our dessert crepe. My wife also had a very nice glass of wine and I had a beer. Both cold and flavorful. This is one of those reviews in which I don't have a lot to say because everything was well done. Great location, warm environment, perfect service and excellent food. We enjoyed the service and the food was amazing. They have choices for Vegetarians and meat dishes, of course, for those who eat meat. The restaurant is located on a narrow cobblestone street with beautiful old style buildings (one of the only streets original to Caen, built prior to WWII, that was not to shelled to oblivion during the fighting between the Nazis and the Allied Forces). I started with a kir, but not the Normandy version which I had before and it is nothing more than cassis with some local sparkling cider. I had one of the galettes. Galettes are, I guess you can say, like crepes but brown, so guessing wheat based?! No clue, really. But this one was delicious. The buck wheat crepes were all the same, except with a different sauce - either none, chocolate, caramel, or strawberry. They were warm, tip-top fresh, and delicious. The ciders were aerated, and a little tangy, and ok, but I'm not sure I would personally go out of my way for them. The space was historic and tight but also full of local flavor the way we would have wanted it to be.
