Personally, I'd recommend getting the basic ticket and enjoying food and drinks somewhere else before or after the show. There are plenty of places nearby where you can get a better meal or drinks for less. The show started and finished on time, which I really appreciated, especially since it was the late night 11:30 PM show. The staff was organized and seemed to know what they were doing. Everyone had their own job, and despite how busy and crowded it was, things moved along pretty smoothly. The cons: It was pricey, especially when you factor in the extra cost of food and drinks. It gave us the impression that planning ahead might help when, in reality, it didn't seem to matter. We waited outside for about 15 minutes while the doormen appeared to prioritize beautiful women, regulars, and people they clearly knew. Eventually, they acknowledged us and asked where we were from (the U.S.) and whether we spoke French (we don't). I was honestly surprised they had even noticed us in the crowd, and I genuinely appreciated that they took the time to speak with us. Rather than leaving us guessing, they were upfront and politely explained that first-time visitors essentially need to know someone to get in. I respected their honesty. It was far better than being strung along or ignored. That said, it was incredibly disappointing to realize that traveling internationally, dressing for the occasion, attempting to make reservations in advance, and choosing Raspoutine as the place to celebrate my birthday still wasn't enough. If you're visiting from abroad, just know that connections appear to matter far more than planning ahead. Drink we're good, place is clean and interior is cool, music was amazing, great DJ, you could tell he was very skilled, you couldn't sit still. We got to meet different people, Parisians, Slavic, and other nationalities. Overall very fun, the only thin is the smoke room downstairs was not very well ventilated.

For now I can only imagine how the show has evolved over the years but I bet now is an even better time to visit because I have a feeling that they probably found a cute way to include this years Olympic games.
