So if you want something liquid like coffee with ice, I would recommend getting an iced latte. It was delicious, and they had a lot of options for people like me who are lactose intolerant (almond milk, soy milk, lactose-free, coco milk, oat milk, etc.) The staff is extremely nice. They're very knowledgeable and incredibly helpful. He got a small Americano ($4). It came in a cool-looking paper cup that looked like a takeout container (see my photo). He enjoyed it and said it was delicious. Just a few minutes walk from the Laurier station on the Orange line metro, we found this really cute cafe and although it's located on quite a busy street, just down the stairs basically beneath the street level, you'll be in this quaint, quiet retreat from the chaos that is just a few steps above you. The staff were so warm and welcoming and the iced latte was one of the best I had during our entire trip. My wife's matcha latte was also pretty good. Although we stuck with quite basic drinks, they also feature a number of really creative drinks as well if you're in the mood to experiment. This cafe is cozy and not only is it a great place for both espresso and matcha-based drinks, it's a great place to relax and catch up with friends or research your next move if you're visiting like we were.
