Owned by Florian and Sandra Koller, a focus on traditional French Chocolates, Tarts and Cookies setting their Patisserie apart from other spots in Frankfurt, it was expectedly finding options somewhat picked over that two guests entered at 18h10, posted hours from 10h00 to 19h00 duly noted but staff rudely refusing two chairs upstairs before abruptly continuing "and we're cash only." Admittedly put off by such attitude, the young man with tan skin unapologetically adding a comment about how Espresso machines had already been turned off even though no one had asked for Coffee, it was nonetheless for the sake of having taken the time to visit that Dessert was taken to standing-tables nearby, a one-bite Cookie featuring Figs and Nuts quite good while L'Art Sucré's Pithivier had clearly suffered from a day on the counter with all but the very top layer lacking in terms of crispness. Never passing on Tart Tatin, the last one available also L'Art Sucré's final sale of the day as no other patrons entered prior to closing, the Pie leaves no doubt of the Koller's talents as everything from Cream to Crust was beautiful, and had the clerk not been so rude there's a good chance another visit would have been made later in the week to taste additional items.

I kind of assumed with a French theme and so much French on the menu it would be easier to order, but we had some mixups that never got fully sorted out. The flat white and cappuccino were fine, but somehow my husband's pain au chocolat became a heiße schokolade (hot chocolate), all the more confusing because the cafe menu lists only chocolat chaud. I tried to order a croissant pistache, which was sold out, and I don't think they understood I then wanted a second pain au chocolat instead. We didn't get a receipt so I really don't know what we DID order, and when I went to retrieve the mysteriously missing pastries I only got one pain au chocolat and the staff acted like it was an apology for the hot chocolate which I tried to explain we hadn't ordered. The three drinks we ended up with were great, the one pastry was great, but I don't think I'd attempt coming back here unless I worked on my German first or came at a much less busy time.

This is a great place to indulge in a treat and enjoy a coffee. The prices are moderate- macaroons cost 1.40€ each but there are discounts the more you buy. My chocolate mousse (Perou) and a Latte Macchiato cost about 6.50€. The place inside is simple-white walls, back chairs, a few pillows- which was kind of bland. However, the lovely desserts will keep me coming back regardless!

For all intents and purposes a kiosk, searching from paid parking placing it far left of the main entrance looking towards train tracks, it is upon entry that guests are greeted by multi-lingual staff, at least French, English and German overheard in the course of ten minutes spent decision making and paying the nearly 20€ tab. Best known as a Chocolatier, but also a Confiserie with elegant Meringues, Cakes and Candies, it was taking items to a standing table inside the terminal that tasting commenced mere minutes after purchase, the crisp snap of sugar first yielding surprisingly subtle sweetness bolstering toasted Pistachios before the Cocoa-dusted version presented more predictably sugared but still texturally elegant. Looking next at Gmeiner's Linzer Torte, its premade nature predictably compromising Crust that seems to be made of Oats and ground Almonds, the better choice for Pastry comes as a polished Dark Chocolate Tart that is soft at its center while Chocolate Bars in an array of intensities seem well-crafted based on a single choice of 40% blended with Honey and thinly sliced Nuts.

What a pleasant surprise :) So I turned back around and went in- and there they were! It was a tough choice though, because everything looked great, not just the macarons. There are also a lot of chocolate flavors which look absolutely stunning and some pastries. There was a little line, but to be honest, I was a little skeptical, how good can a place in a central station be? Well, very good! The macarons are bursting with flavor and not rubbery. 1.30€ a piece, not too bad! I had the cassis and cherry and I can't wait to try some of the others... Passion fruit, lime or peach - and there's more to choose from The girls at the counter were pretty nice as well and I have a good feeling that I'm gonna drop by this place at least once more before I head home to Berlin.

I rarely give glowing reviews of perfection but this little shop deserves it! Upon entrance, you'll notice it's a small shop with a smaller selection of pastries than some other bakeries around. But look closer and you'll see several intricate items, such as chocolates in the shape of a ball with swirls of color. It's near Christmas now so I'm unsure of the selection during the non-holiday season. Currently there are so many options for gifts. Ordered a latte (really good) to go with the lemon tart and tonka pastries. If you do the same, I recommend consuming the Tonka first. It's super rich and creamy in texture but lighter in flavor. Good on its own, but difficult to taste the flavor next to the knock your socks off lemon tart. The lemon tart was the perfect blend of sugar & tartness. It was all so good that we left with two more, plus two boxes of petite pastries, some macarons (these were alright but nothing close to Laduree -a bit too sweet and too saturated with coloring), and chocolates. Additionally, the gentleman that helped us was really friendly and spoke English.
