It's a perfect little spot with lots of amazing choices on the menu so you'll always find something that you like on there! My two favorite dishes on the menu are local specialities. If you are going to get raclette anywhere, this is the place to get it! Why you ask? The presentation! Their raclette heater is beyond beautiful! But enough about the heater, the cheese is fantastic and paired with their huge charcuterie platter and big bowl of potatoes and big bowl of salad it is absolute perfection! If you don't feel like you need to be rolled out of there, you didn't do it right! They give you a huge amount of cheese and so much meat to keep you busy. I also highly recommend their fondue. The fondue here is perfect in every single way. The keep an eye out to make sure the fire isn't too hot and burning the cheese and not getting too cold at the same time. If I remember correctly they use three different cheeses in their fondue so the flavor is spot on! We did fondue delivery from another place a week before and this fondue kicked it's butt! I shared this with my mother and when we got the pot, we thought they gave us way too much cheese but we managed to finish the whole pot it was that good! This is a great local spot and I would recommend it to any one in the area. Cozy up next to the fireplace, enjoy some wine and a nice raclette and you'll be one happy person! I found this to still be true at the Val D'Isere (Tignes) location, though this location is lackadaisical perhaps to a fault. If you are trying to book a VIP table (for which no minimum is listed but would generally be understood to be about 500 euro), you want to use the online form for "La Veranda." The main differences in setup here compared to VT are that the elevated VIP section here is split into an outside portion (4 tables) and an inside-ish portion (6 tables?). The outside portion doesn't have a direct line of sight to the DJ booth. Also, you can't order food here. We ordered burgers from the grill (which were delicious) and ate them before coming up. I would have loved the oysters (etc) that I enjoyed at VT instead. The one *positive* difference is that there is more space here and there is a stage for live performances, which is really cool to witness even if you're just skiing past. The bottle menu is not particularly expensive and there are no hidden fees. Service was great and the party went until 5pm. One thing I found weird here was that in the inner VIP area, there was a family of 20+ with children (not just under 18 but also much younger). It was surprising that the kids were allowed in to begin with, but they were also allowed to commingle with the dance floor and with the outer VIP area. Other weird thing was that we wanted to purchase one more bottle before last call. My friend got tricked into buying a magnum with the classic "we're all out of 750s." Though the staff was friendly in their parting, they didn't really provide any instructions as to getting down the mountain or anything and we found the bouncers to be rather cold when it came to the end of the day (big difference from Cloud 9 and others).

He had two children behind the counter with him making pizzas when we first walked in and you could tell that the experience of hand making pizzas was something very special to them. They later took the pizzas to their parents' table to enjoy the fruits of their experience. The place is small so we had to wait, but one of the waitresses was quick to offer us drink options while we waited. We were able to enjoy some wine during our 10 minute wait. The food prices are very reasonable and the quality is top notch! We had the caprese appetizer, the pizza + and the spaghetti bolognese. It was all very delicious. We are so happy we came here during our trip because it felt like a local's experience and not one of those commercial places.

It makes the interior feel even more cosy and warm. The menu is filled with the classic meat and cheese choices you would expect from that kind of place but they do it very well and with a light modern twist. In fact the fillet de boeuf I had was the best I have had this year... so far ;) It was incredibly tasty and cooked to perfection: it just melted in my mouth. And the wine list is filled with good vintages.

Roughly a 10 minute drive up the mountain road from the town centre, the restaurant looked quaint from the outside and when we entered saw the log burning fire and paraphernalia which gave it a real charm. The maître d' was very friendly (though spoke no English, but that's more our failing for not speaking much French). We were seated promptly and were left to review the menus which unfortunately weren't particularly extensive with a double whammy of being very, very expensive. As we had no other options to go to we bit the bullet and ordered. It did take a while before we were brought any drinks or pain (bread) to nibble on but when the wine came it was very good indeed. I ordered the Côte de Boeuf Maitre d'Hôtel which was roast beef to be shared (as there is 1kg of red meat to devour). It came served with frites, salade vert and Bernaise sauce. It. was. amazing. I don't often order meat to be cooked medium rare and had heard that the French preference is more on the 'rare side' of the spectrum, but I'm glad I did as it was juicy and delicious. This redeemed them for me and accompanied with a few glasses of Les Ormes' Bourgogne made for a terrific meal. Though the final bill was hefty, everyone enjoyed what they ate and the service was friendly, if not as efficient as it could have been. Wow, I'm turning into a complete food snob, please send help.
