Chocolat chaud and gaufres! The waffle was nice and light. I ordered mine simply topped with powdered sugar (Nature/Plain). While not necessarily a filling meal - it was nice and warm in my tummy. Warning: this shop is small. There's seating for maybe 15 people.

The Good: :: it's a local business, run by some fantastic people :: the coffee is always on point here. made with TLC and attention, it's a treat to drink while you sit and people-watch the day away or have a chit-chat with the other customers or the staff! :: they also sell non-coffee drinks such as fresh juices, teas, etc :: they serve food and pastries, too. get there early for croissants as those sell out quickly. give the ham and cheese waffles a try, too! quite delicious :: they also do bike tours in Paris, Versailles and Champagne! check out their website on what options they have for you to partake in. :: they also sell some merchandise (eg, wallets, mugs, etc) for you to purchase as gifts for family/friends or even yourself :: indoor and outdoor seating The Bad: :: none The Ugly: :: none Would I go back? Absolutely--I come by here every time I'm in Paris. It's a fantastic, cozy coffeehouse with great people running it, and I'm always happy to give them my business. This place is IN.

Wait- does everyone here speak English?! Pretty much. Depending on how you greet the people behind the counter- they will quickly flip to the language your accent may imply. In just a couple cups of coffee we met 5 American expats, planned a retirement community for artists with the $1 homes for sale in Italy, and discussed VISA issues and solutions. The waffle and coffee were excellent as well- though, ironically, you may need to wait longer for a drip coffee than an Americano.

Friendly baristas prepare coffee in a warm and welcoming space. Though the Marais neighbourhood is no stranger to cute coffee shops, Le Peloton on Rue du Pont Louis Philippe is a welcome addition with its funky tiled floor and cosy corners. Founded in September 2015 by biking enthusiasts Christian Osburn and Paul Barro, who also run the tour company Bike About, the space is decorated with colourful bike-themed illustrations, a shelf bearing beans from Belleville Brûlerie, and bright yellow chairs that you'll recognise easily if you follow all the Parisian Instagrammers in the know. Take a seat at the wooden bar to watch the friendly owners in action or perch on the stools by the window for a great view of the pretty balconies across the street. Our noisette (€3.50) was perfectly balanced, a lovely early morning treat along with a salted caramel doughnut from hip caterer Boneshaker (€4). Le Peloton's menu also offers homemade sweet and savoury waffles, as well as tarts and cookies made by the popular Mokonuts café.

The staff was friendly and they spoke English very well. I ordered the waffles with strawberry jam and a glass of milk. The milk was from Normandy and it had a sweet flavor. I really enjoyed both the waffles and the milk. The cafe also had bikes available to rent!

If it's cold out, I'm guessing there's room for 10-15 people inside if you get real cozy. Motors Coffee has the best merchandise I've seen at a coffee shop: I spotted keytags[2], stickers, and lighters. I went for a Hot Wheels-inspired lighter and have no regrets. Motors just dropped a new lighter design (check their Instagram @motorscoffee). Credit accepted. They have a loyalty card so you can keep track of all the coffee you're drinking, and eventually get a free coffee. [1] In a hip Parisian way. [2] Pretty sure they're from Various Keytags, an awesome Brooklyn-based company.

It was head and shoulders our favorite coffee shop in the City of Light, and we lowkey made our rounds. It's a small shop, but filled to the brim with life and passion. I'm normally not a pastry guy, but if I lived anywhere near Motors I would absolutely be a pastry guy. The cinnamon roll was light and delicate, as opposed to the overly sweet and dense ones I'm used to. We also got a vanilla pastry they were testing, and a sugar cookie with milk chocolate drizzled on top. Ugh, take me back, inject these into my veins. I got my goto hot black coffee, and you could taste the freshness of the beans. My girlfriend got a latte that had the most beautiful little flower art on it. How do they even do that? I'm proud of myself, as I knew even when we were sitting in here enjoying our pastries, hot coffees, and each other's company that this was a moment I would look back on and cherish. It's always great knowing it's one of those moments when you're actually in it. You can fully appreciate it. My one regret is that I didn't get the ladies name serving us, as she was so sweet, recommended great pastries, and was just a pleasant human being. They don't make em like sis anymore... I started off with an Expresso Martini which was very good and yes this is how it is spelled here and I like that because that is how I always pronounce it. With our drinks our waiter even brought us out fresh olives. Now I'm not the biggest fan but Ashley very much enjoyed it. There was a lot on the menu that I was interested in and they had a number of different cuts of beef but I had to go with the Whole Duck Breast which is also a French classic which I got cooked medium rare but I'm perfect sure that's how they suggest it which is the right way like they do with all their beef too. Ashley and I also split the French Onion Soup. I will say by Duck was very good. Tasty rich sauce with crispy duck skin cooked perfectly. Some of the best duck I have had in awhile. I will say the French Onion Soup though was a little bland. I just didn't have that rich beef broth I am used too. Beside that everything was very good and would for sure recommend going to Café Blanc for a nice menu which amazing French options.

We spoke to a lady who was American but moved to Paris years ago. She recommended the chocolate hazelnut which changed her life. So us fat kids sampled the 6 flavors which the girl brought us inside the business to give us the samples. I then told her large she gave me extra large with 5 scoops. We got lemon ice, coffee gelato, chocolate chip, chocolate hazelnut and the chocolate fondue. Everything was delicious. But I think we were gelatoed out and the lemon ice was amazing ! Everything was good but the lemon stood out. It was just more refreshing as we walked Disney Paris all day then walked from metro to the stores. Then we met the store owner who was really sweet and we chatted for a bit and then said hey do you want something to go? I said no it's ok and then she said here have more lemon ice. My wife and I destroyed that as well. She was so sweet. She said it doesn't make you fat since it's just water and sugar and fresh lemon. I said yeah it will lol. I'd come back.
