    Coffees!!!

Good third wave coffee. Highly recommend. This is a family owned spot so you might have to wait a few, but it is worth it and the people are very nice. Coffee is up to third wave standards. Sit outside at one of the little tables if you can, the vibe in the small alley the shop is in is very nice.

    Cappuccino

The cafe itself is very minimally designed. It was cool to see but a bit uncomfortable to just sit down. The staff weren't that amicable but the cappuccino itself was good.

Various magazine shout-outs and Internet lists pointed us to Télescope for coffee on our way to the Louvre. We stopped by on a quiet Wednesday morning and had a great experience. The barista was incredibly friendly and seemed to be native English speaker, so he took pity on our terrible French and started with English. They (unfortunately) hadn't received/made their main bread orders yet, so we each got a croissant with jam, and some coffee. A delicious start to the day.

    Perfect flat white!

The fact that Télescope uses fresh milk instead of UHT like most cafés in Paris, makes this our morning regular when visiting. Friendly staff are serious about coffee. Good spot for fussy Australians in search of a flat white. Great location too!

    Espresso and genmaicha tea

We serendipitously chanced upon this cute little cafe while waiting for a nearby lunch spot to open up. Being big independent coffee shop fans, we were looking forward to checking out some local spots. It was fairly crowded when we walked in, and we luckily snagged the second to last table available. It is not a very big place, with only about seven tables to accompany various group sizes. I ordered a genmaicha tea and my BF ordered an espresso. The barista pulled the most perfect espresso. The grind was just right, so it was neither burn/bitter nor watery or weak. There was a definite crema. My tea was brewed perfectly as well. The baristas here are very friendly and speak English. They also serve pastries, which look divine. I would definitely come back to Télescope anytime I'm in Paris. Very convenient to the Jardin du Palais Royal and the Musée du Louvre.

Down an unassuming alley and with no obvious signage, this petit hipster cafe is pretty easy to miss. But perhaps that is the intention, because the smug aloofness here does not exactly make Telescope the most welcoming place for the uncool to enjoy a cup of coffee. Ordered a Café Crème (4 euros) on this visit, which was expertly prepared. The bespectacled barista -- who speaks English, by the way -- took obvious care and much pride in his work. It looked absolutely perfect. However, I found the coffee a bit too sharp on the palate. It also had an exotic earthiness to it. It wasn't bad, per se; it just wasn't what I was used to. In the end, the flavor just wasn't my style. Good coffee is pretty hard to find in Paris. And even though I have no doubt that this is one of the better places, I just thought it was OK.

I've been here a few times and I get it. It's casual...strictly casual, which can be difficult to pull off, especially in the "café culture" of Paris. Yodda: "There is no try, only do". So yeah, Telescope do. Plus, they pay attention to the coffee. This little area between Palais Royal and rue de opera contains within a 3 minute walking radius some of my favorites: + Verjus now serving sandwiches for lunch now and the Bakesale Betty IS that good...check + Telescope for a shot of caffeine...check + Juveniles for wine (yeah I had the rosé - so what)...check + Nap...check This is my idea of a high quality Friday afternoon.

I am from Seattle & this is fresh good coffee. It's like Vivace meets Analog. Strong smooth.Drink the espresso shots before they cool. The cappuccino is smooth Dry. The sugar is a little molasses aftertaste. Not my taste but others like it. The Baristas are Very genuine & have good dry humor with all countries guests. Oh & the coffee really works!

This is a very lovely café in rue Villedo, a little street where also another favorite of mine (Nest) is located. Surrounded by Asian style restaurants en sushi bars, Telescope is a welcome change for the other places in this hood. Here you can come, not for sushi or noodles, but for one of the best coffees in Paris. They serve an excellent cappuccino which is perfect to enjoy with a nice fresh croissant and a magazine. There are not incredibly many seats inside, it is just a small café, but you might be lucky to find a spot, since this is not the busiest street and only the hipsters know about this place ;) The staff does not really try to speak English to you, but since you will probably only order a coffee and not chat about work or something, I don't think the non-frenchies will think of this as a problem.

    Flawless coffee at Telescop cafe

A hip, cool cafe in the center of Paris offering up flawless coffee by a barista who knows his skill. The service was wonderful - the friendly owner made me feel instantly welcome. Whilst he is a Parisian himself he was even joking that Paris would be the perfect city if it weren't for the Parisians! The granola was simply perfect, offering a custom blend of Emperor Norton sprinkled over a big dollop of yogurt and sweetened with a little jam and served in the cutest glass ramekin. The only downside if there would have to be one would be the small size of the cafe however in my view it only adds to the intimate, cozy experience.

I had bookmarked this location before I set off to Paris. I don't quite remember where I read about it, but I had heard that they serve up some of the best coffee in town, so I definitely had to check it out. I got a latte and banana bread, both of which were divine. The latte was super creamy and well-crafted, definitely the creamiest I've had thus far. Banana bread is good..nothing spectacular. Seating at the location is very small. I thiiink there is a downstairs but I'm not sure. this definitely seems like a spot the locals go to. I was there alone when I arrived, but soon after a bunch of people walked in. A definitely a must-have for all my fellow coffee lovers!!!

Getteaux de chocolat with fresh cream and latte. Best cafe experience of my life, I died! I have given 5 star ratings to less than 10 restaurants/cafes in the world, this being one of them. I've never had a desert and coffee combo taste so good. Do yourself the biggest favor and stop by here.

The milk texture was exceptionally smooth and silky, integrating seamlessly with the espresso to produce a balanced cup with a pleasant medium body. The temperature was spot on--ready to drink immediately without sacrificing sweetness or texture. Visually, the presentation was excellent. The crema and milk were fully integrated, creating a polished finish without excessive foam or large bubbles.
