Couscous (vegetarian). I added a side of sausage = delicous
    Olivia L.

*** CASH ONLY *** I don't even like couscous. But this was really good couscous. Stopped in about 1pm on a Saturday and we were seated in an open airy space in the shade. It was over 100°F outside, but the ceiling fans made it feel no more than a comfortable 80°F. We had the chicken couscous and the lamb sausage couscous, and both were just really hearty and filling and delicious. Both are served over a bed of stewed vegetables. The chicken is dark meat, cooked on the bone and really tender and tasty. The merguez (lamb sausage) was cooked separately at my request and lambey and just chewey enough to have a good mouth feel. The veggies are also really good -- there are a lot and they're varied and my favorite of them was the fresh artichoke heart. All the couscouses are served with a jug of broth (for additional flavor to your couscous, we hardly used it because it was already super tasty) and a moroccan pickled lemon spicy chutney thing that really enhances the food. Man, I'm like addicted to it now. Service was slow only because there was only one guy serving and cooking -- but he was really sweet and the food was delicious.

This is the only place to grab couscous when in Paris. This place is tiny. In fact it is so small I can guarantee you will be waiting to get a table, but it is really worth the wait. I think they only open for dinner, but they stay open pretty late. The food is really inexpensive and extremely tasty. My girlfriend doesn't even like couscous, but she loved all the food here. You better come hungry, because the portions are quite large too! The staff is friendly and will accommodate even those who don't speak a word of French.

This was an amazing place! I discovered Le Petit Blue thanks to Tripadvisor reviews and it did not disappoint. Get here early or you will be better off ordering takeout as the tables take a long time to clear. I never liked couscous much before, but Le Petit Blue is the first place to make me want it over and over again. Definitely get something with merguez in it, which is a mixed lamb sausage. Each plate is big enough for two meals, but be kind and order one plate each. We got a merguez couscous and a lamb tajine. For the lamb tajine, they use lamb shank meat, which tasted a lot like chicken (pardon us for having a poor palate), which led to a lot of finger pointing from the cook telling us we were mistaken and it was lamb. Sorry chef! Anyway, the couscous contains delicious stewed vegetables and comes with a really hot broth on the side that you ladle over the whole dish. I added a lot of the broth to flavor the veggies, but I think overall the dish was already very flavorful. This is easily a very affordable meal and it's super close to Le Sacre Coeur, so you can come by after you watch the sun set. Cash only, and don't expect super friendly service if you're used to American service. The waiter is just kind of gruff but all in all he does care about providing great food.

This place WAS SOOOOO DELISH We had the vegetarian (but vegan) couscous! The spice on the table is essential and I asked for MORE. Wonderful. Filling. Intimate. Thank you. A nice memory for '17! Xx

I had the veal and across the table is a mixed grilled plate. Ask for the picquant sauce!

I have always had a love for Moroccan food, and this place did not disappoint. I had the veal and it was great. Ask for the picquant sauce and it will add a flavor which you can use to your heart's content. I will definitely come back here to try their other dishes!!

We each got the combo platter that allowed us to try multiple meats and sides, and I have to say that I was extremely impressed with the meat. Especially the brisket, a particular favorite of mine when it comes to BBQ. The mac and cheese was a solid side, but the coleslaw was underwhelming. As Americans, yes, we expect large portions. I've been to Europe often enough to manage those expectations pretty well, so I was also pleased when we each reached a comfortable stopping point and were able to get takeaway boxes for our leftovers. I know it's traditionally trés gauche to take leftovers from French restaurants, but I was happy to see that the trend is catching on. After all, not wasting food is a good thing, is it not? We carried those leftovers all the way to Amsterdam the next day--that's how much we wanted to finish them. We opted to sit in the terrace seating that has a suspended plank for a table so that we could people watch Rue St. Denis, a busy street in this arrondissement. It's in a great neighborhood that was vibrant and full of life, even in the wake of the pandemic. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who would like to try good Texas style BBQ in the middle of Paris.

Prices range from 9-24 Euros ($11-27 US) for the meats, 4-5 Euros ($5-6 US) for the sides, and a lunch menu of 15 Euros ($17) for a meat, side and drink, it's a good deal for the best BBQ I've had in Paris. The first time I went, I had the pork ribs with a side of greens, and a beer. the pork ribs were tender in the center, but dry on the end, needing the delicious tomato based BBQ sauce to moisten the meat. The beef brisket was excellent, with a wonderful peppercorn crust, nice smoke, and juicy meat, good enough to eat without any sauce at all. The greens weren't bad, with plenty of pork goodness, but they needed salt and heat to make them better, unfortunately Parisian taste is not known for having any tolerance for spice, so sneak in some hot sauce if you want to perk up this side, or take it home and doctor it up. The pickles and pickled onions were excellent, with a crisp texture and vinegary bite. The baked beans were the best side I tasted, with a smokey tomato base, just slightly sweet. The decor reminds you that the owner spent some time in Texas, but fortunately there were no chainsaws in sight :)

First off Tom our server was awesome at explaining the history of the restaurant and the variety of the menus and drinks. The brisket is so tender and different from the brisket in California and so was the pulled pork and chicken. I highly recommend someone from the states to come eat at The Beast to get their BBQ fix

I took my teenager here for an authentic fondue experience and we left stuffed and happy. I got a basic cheese fondue and he got the Beef Bourguignon fondue in oil. Fantastic. They do not have a big raclette heater that warms the wheel of cheese so you can scrape it. This is a delightful restaurant and such a fun dining experience.

The sauce was to die for and we sopped with up with our toasty bread. -the carrots - charred carmelized carrot over charred carrot purée with charred carrot chips and sprigs of dill. Very good but they either need sharper knives or cook it a little less. This was a bit tough but still so good and you could tell it was of very good quality. Regardless, I would order it again and again. -Cynar cocktail - mezcal with charred grapefruit. Was a tad bitter and tart but went really well with the meal. So satisfying. -daiquiri de La Niña - very sweet, not really my cup of tea but my friend enjoyed it. A lot of good looking people with good vibes. Will definitely be back.
