I really enjoy this place. We moved 30 min north. However - my bad for scheduling the wrong person today. Julie does an excellent job 100% of the time. I forgot her name and unfortunately scheduled with another worker today. I asked for big sparkles in red for my French tip. She picked a different one on purpose. I asked for clear under instead of pink and she said only with pink. I should of just gotten up and walked out - bc $70 for nails is expensive and it should be how I have been dreaming about and wanting to treat myself with. So when they grow out - you can see the pink...which is not what I was wanting. Made an apt at 10 today and arrived at 10:05 due to a closed lane and traffic...she already was working on someone so I felt super rushed. Have really been looking forward to treating myself and holiday nails - but very disappointed today. Will not be back for this woman ever again. read more

La Reve consistently does a great job. I have been coming in every few months for several years and always get a pedicure and gel manicure. My most recent visit today was no different. Fiona did a wonderful job on my pedicure and Mimi did a great job on my manicure. I've also recently received a pedicure from Penny and she gives the best foot massages. La Reve is a large space and always very clean and professional. Their Covid protocol is great, O always feel safe. I started coming here about 7 months ago off a recommendation from a friend. I LOVE IT!! I won't go anywhere else now. Jason always does a phenomenal job and I never leave disappointed. I normally stick with neutral colors. I don't like to do anything crazy with my nails. But the last few times I've been in Jason has totally taken me out of my comfort zone and I'm loving every bit of it. I'm always so impressed by what he does. Today I went in cause needed to treat myself. My fiancé left for the Marine Corps yesterday and I hadn't had my nails done in about 3 weeks. Jason showed me this new product they had in. I went in today for a full set. The man that did my nails was EXTREMELY rough, to the point that he made two of my fingers bleed on the side while filing my nails. Not while using the drill, just a regular file. After he made me bleed he continued to be extremely rough with the same fingers inflicting an incredible amount of pain, to the point that I had to instinctively pull my hand away from him. I have never experienced a nail tech that not only made TWO of my fingers bleed, but was not apologetic about it at all and continued to be unbelievably rough. On top of this, while shaping my nail with a file he stopped at least 3 times to file HIS OWN NAIL. He did not switch files, and continued filing mine immediately after. I'm sure that's an extremely unsanitary thing to do. Both of my fingers that bled are red, swollen as very painful. I can only hope I don't develop an infection from my visit today. This was my first and last time visiting this nail salon. read more

Had my nails painted here and left about an hour ago because my nails were "dry" and figured out they weren't when they were dented and all messed up. Went to remove the nail polish and it just slid right off. I realized they had put some sort of thinner in my polish and maybe that's why it didn't dry. I cheated on my go-to nail salon with this place and I solemnly swear...I will never do that again. I don't understand why nail techs want to take that stupid electric buffer to take off existing shellac. If you soak them, they will come off JUST FINE. I repeated multiple times that they were my REAL NAILS yet he continued to bzzz bzzz bzzzzzzzzzz and buff my nails. I was so tense that he was going to eff up my nails that I did not enjoy the process whatsoever. I just wanted a polish change (no manicure) and you would have thought that a 10 year-old shaped my nails. They were so uneven that at one point, I took the file from him and did them myself. I came here hoping for coffin shape acrylic nails. After being told that i shouldn't get acrylics i really wanted, i did end up getting them. The outcome was horrible. The shape is uneven, messy, and wonky. The person who did my nails did not care enough to put in effort the make my nails look even a little bit presentable. Poor customer service. Stopped going here for some time because of it. Received a "where you have you been" message and decided to try after 2 years. Same space and same attitude. Scheduled an appointment and was told that they can't find it upon arrival for at least 5 minutes standing there. Sat and waited even with "no appointment". Finally called back and water placed in the bowl but just sat there. I immediately knew it would be a long wait which is why I scheduled the appointment in the first place. I got my bag and left. 5 minutes later I got a call - we are calling about you're appointment and are currently running 10 minutes behind. This was 20 minutes behind by this time. Oh and I thought I had no appointment. All because I haven't been in for a while and they didn't know my face as a regular customer. Sad. This time I will not return. Immediately went to Metcalf Lounge and was acknowledged for service quickly and tended to. Too many nail salons for bad service. Beware. Oh and the service itself is just mediocre. read more

Every time I've been here my experience has been great. The staff has been quick, efficient, and friendly. I've not experienced any issues with cleanliness or concern about tools being used and not cleaned. I have been to several other nail salons in Olathe and Overland Park and have been disappointed by the lack of attention to detail with my gel color and have seen less than stellar cleanliness. My experience has been wonderful every time and I will be back to see Benjamin for my next manicure. read more

This is my third salon I've been since I moved to Kansas in hopes to find a good nail tech. I walked in with almond nails and asked for a basic fill with polish. They were quick to ask if I wanted gel or nail reshape because it's extra and I declined both. Didn't catch his name but the man did the bare minimum. I asked to file my nail down a bit because they were getting long. I asked to keep my almond shape. He did the bare minimum on filing my nail down for length and the bare minimum in refreshing my almond shape. When it came to polish, I could see the acrylic on all edges because he didn't cover the entire nails. I showed him all the nails missing polish and asked him to paint them completely almost touching my skin. By then he was bothered. I mean...I am paying for my nail to be painted....or is that 90% of nail included? Ok fine...polish and top coat. My nails weren't almond, they ended up being oval. Then pedicure time. I needed some decent scrubbing so I went from the $26 pedi to the sugar scrub $31. Of course she pushed for the next higher but I stood my ground. She did the weakest scrub ever and didn't scrub my sides, only underneath my feet. I have never felt so robbed and disappointed that for the first time in my life, I didn't leave a tip! Total was supposed to be $25+$32=56. Guy charges me $61. I go to my car and think about this so I call the receptionist and ask why I was charged $5 for my nails and he said it was for a reshape. I told him "My nail wasn't reshaped. In fact, I came in with almond and asked for almond and walked out with oval because his lack of effort". Guy said he can give me the $5 back but I have to come back in, they can't credit my card. Also said they would do better next time. I said you know what, keep the $5 because I don't wanna look so petty coming back in, but I will never come back. Do people not take pride in their work as nails artists? Why can't you review your work to ensure the customer is satisfied? Why be so pushy in services? And why overcharge a client for a service not provided? I am beyond upset with this place. Oh, and the girl that did my pedi was next to the guy when I asked him to paint my nail completely. Maybe she was upset that I spoke up and perhaps that's why she did such a poor job on my pedicure? Place I beautiful and play good relaxing music but quality is not at ALL what you pay for. I got a full set of ombre nails/Crystals and a wax for 100.00. Nails started lifting 2 days after I had set done. Had acrylic on the bottom of my nails that technician did not bother removing. The nail itself was lumpy, some super thin and others very heavy with acrylic on my nail bed and thin at the tip. I asked the tech to do a specific shape and length and all nails are not even somewhat identical. far from! I would at least expect nail tech to have removed the Sally's beauty supply tag for 5.99 on the bottle he was using for my acrylic. The wax that was done to my eyebrows left a lot of hairs behind but I couldnt tell because the room was so dark and I was handed a filthy mirror to check the work. Not to mention it seems as though the mirror they have in the waxing room is only for customers that are taller than 5' 9. Then the nail tech went on a rant to say how the people in Olathe that visit his store are very cheap and older ladies that do not want to pay for quality work! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! This place sucks! I seriously recommend that you take you're money elsewhere. I went in on Friday to get a full set. Micheal was the one doing my nails and he severely hurt my hands by the end of my time there I left with my fingers bleeding. Then today(four days later) I go back in telling them that all the nails on my right hand had started to lift, but that I just wanted them off and my money back. They kept refusing to do that for me. And told me that they would only fix the nails. But why would I wanna put myself through that pain again? I kept telling them that I did not want them fixed so one of the ladies called her husband and made me talk to him for 15 mins then when he got frustrated he hung up on me, then she called her son. Her son sat there and argue with me for another 15 mins where I then told him that a customer is always right and they should do their best to work with that. But he then told me I was wrong and that he would not give me my money back and that he would do no more, then he hung up and I was trying to talk to the mother and she sat there in front of me and ignored me while I was talking to her. And while I had them take my nails off, Michael was using tools and files that had already been used on someone else, that he had grabbed from a box labeled "spilled". NEVER EVER GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE ROBBED FROM YOUR HARD EARNER MONEY AND LONG LASTING NAILS! read more

March 2016: I go to Le Reve exclusively, after trying out many, many nail salons in southern Joco. They do a great job on my gel manicure and have a punch card so every 3-4 visits you get $3-$5 off. Love that! My gel manicures usually last 2+ weeks. Everyone is very friendly! Oct 2016: Edited to add that suddenly my past 3 experiences have not been good... and I am sad to say I will not be returning. The first incident was when the owner made an embarrassing comment about my appearance, and then tried to correct himself when he saw I was bothered by his comment by saying that it made me more attractive. It crossed the line and I was mortified. The next time I came in, I was encouraged to try the new dipping color polish (a powder acrylic that's similar to gel and requires no UV). Oddly enough, they used the UV light on it. An hour later my nails were already dull with bubbles and scratched. I returned which was a big inconvenience and they corrected with more UV light. That day, I spent 2+ hours at their salon while they tried to figure out the problem. It was also $10 more expensive. After a day, they scratched again and I dealt with ugly nails for about another week and a half, since I did not want to pay the have my nails done again and spend more time at the salon. I was so ready to have them removed when I went back in. Once again I was urged to try it again, "A discount" this time and he would "do it differently this time, you'll see. it's no problem" Unfortunately I trust him. And once again they bubbled up and looked terrible. When I came back in after 2 days, I told him PLEASE just remove them. Jason said "no I'll do it right this time". I had watched some YouTube videos by professionals and saw that you DO NOT NEED A UV LIGHT, which is what they kept using on me. Jason assured me no light this time. He sanded my nails down until they were nearly transparent and applied the sealer. My nails did not bubble up but they are gritty and transparent from when he sanded and did not put the color back on my nail. At this point I am very disappointed. I've been to the salon 6 times in the past month and I cannot do it anymore. I loved them going to them for so long but after the comment on my appearance and not listing to my request to remove them completely, I am throwing in the towel :( If you are going to go to this salon my favorite nail techs are Ana, Fiona and Michael. I've been going to Le Reve for years and won't go anyplace else. The service is excellent, quality of work is exceptional too. The whole place is very clean which is very important because of my weak immune system. They have a very nice selection of colors and products. Right now I'm enjoying have my finger nails dipped. It's not unusual for me to be complimented on how nice my nails look. The pedicures are the best! I usually have a special design added to my big toe. It has my husband & I smiling several times daily. I also recommend their eye lash extensions. They look wonderful while still keeping a natural appearance. Too often extensions look gloppy and comical. These extensions are a wonderful & special addition to daily life or a special event. I would recommend going during the week if possible, as the weekends can be very busy. The fact that customers are willing to wait is a good indication of how many people find the services well worth waiting for! Making an appointment is a good idea too. Hope to see you there soon.
