The gentleman who served us was really nice, walking us through the menu and answered the myriad of questions we had. Everything sounded delicious! The portion turned out to be very generous. Honestly one entree is enough to feed two. A shame to have so much leftover as the food was so delicious, but as tourists we couldn't pack it for another meal. My husband totally loved the lamb shank: succulent and flavorful after a long cooking. The vegetables with couscous was delicious too. I guess the tagine really does some magic to the cooking. If you are interested in trying something different while in St Albans, step in here and be transported to a a different world!

I went there on Saturday afternoon for dinner. We had the lamb and the kofta tagines, the kofta was amazing, the lamb was ok but felt a little bit under seasoned. As sides we got the dolma and the calamari. The dolmas melted in your mouth and were pretty good (served warm as they should be). The calamari was a bit harder to chew so as a Greek person I would rate it ok but nothing great. The side sauce the starters came with was great though. After the food we decided to try the cocktails. I had the Guilty which tasted like alcoholic dessert, so right up my street, and I also tried the fireman, good for whiskey drinkers bit not really my cup of tea. In terms of atmosphere I think the restaurant tries to be more posh than it is but the massive screens with the football on everywhere you look are incongruous with the atmosphere they are trying to create. There is also a semi- outside area for shisha which feels more Moroccan but it was full of football fans and smoke. In general I think it's good enough but maybe not as authentic as it could have been and it could do with a few more authentic Moroccan dishes in the menu.

I am not a big fan of couscous but I polished everything they served. When we spoke to the lady who was taking care of us, she said she owns the place and cooks in her kitchen. The food did not feel heavy and stuffed with too much spice, it was light and so full of flavours that if someone would say this is homemade, I would totally believe it. They served some homemade bread with harissa and olives. It was an hour of quiet, peaceful lunch. Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone who wants to eat awesome Moroccan food. Please stay away from all the crappy restaurants who claim they serve Moroccan food in Regents street. This place will tell you they are high street nonsense.
