The first server, on realizing that we speak very little French, passed us on to another server who turns out be from South America! He did his best to explain the menu. I also ordered a salad which was a meal in itself, but it had been a few years since I visited France so I had forgotten that they usually serve some greens with the meals. (I ate it quickly so I didn't get a chance to snap a photo--sorry!) but I assure you it was a delicious as EVERY SINGLE MEAL I ate on my visit was!! Many restaurants in France serve duck gizzard salad, but in Dordogne area is foie gras production region. There is a lot of geese. The geese gizzard is a lot softer compared to duck gizzard. My wife has the goose pate. Our entrees is beef kabob and duck leg. Both dishes is excellent. The France prepare kabab just lightly seasoning. You may want to add some salt.
