Ordered Seared Tuna for an Appetizer. There was also a complementary Salmon Tartare. Salmon Tartare - 5/5 - excellent! No complaints here. Seared Tuna - 4/5 - very good! The soy sauce is a bit salty, so I recommend going light on dabbing it. Crispy Veal Sweetbreads - 4.5/5 - delicious! Soft and tender, presented delightfully on a bed of spinach Le Chocolat-Caramel de La Réserve - 5/5 - absolute perfection! It's hard to recall a more tasty chocolate dessert. The little chocolate biscuits are delicious and the overall dessert is tasty without being overwhelmingly sweet. Others ====== Sparkling water - 5/5 - "BADOIT" - no complaints from me here! My other two friends ordered the Savoyarde Traditionnelle Fondue which included garlic & white wine, accompanied by charcuterie and diced bread. This was more of your standard fondue served in a large melting pot. The flavors of this fondue were different from the Raclette, but also very good. The portion was huge and we struggled to finish it. Overall, Le Monchu was an excellent choice for lunch while visiting Chamonix. The atmosphere was everything, the service was great, and food was absolutely amazing! While the prices are definitely higher, it is definitely worth it.
