The website told us we didn't need to make a tee time, but when we arrived we were kinda 'yelled at' because we didn't have a tee time. The older man was very off putting, but the woman working with him was very sweet to me. Especially after I told her I work at a golf course where I live. We're from Nebraska and was visiting Deadwood for a family vacation, and wanted to add some golf to our trip. The course is beautiful. It's nestled in with (what I call) mini-mountains, forests, fields, and adorable ponds. The course was great. I LOVE the tee box for hole 1. Pace was great. Prices were fine. Really only bought Powerades and lemonade. Didn't have food. The fellow golfers were friendly as hell and the course bathroom on hole 4 (maybe 5) was actually quite nice. I'd happily golf here again but wow the man who greeted us and was our cashier was an asshole. My Dad, who might be one of the most patient and calm men on the plant, was offended/angry. Almost makes us want to never come back. Make a tee time. Avoid the shitty older guy. Bring extra balls. My husband lost 12. (Not even kidding. If you find a Noodle with 'Bub' on it in sharpie...you found one of his.) Everyone was dressed very well. Very glad I bought an actual golf outfit!!! read more
