Shout out to Officer Brandon Le who treated me empathically during a time where I was stressed out of my mind. Long story short, someone used my information to open fraudulent accounts. The companies would not close/pause the accounts unless I had a police report. I am also appreciative that the WPD opens up at 7:30 am or else I would not have been able to get anything done due to work hours. The only reason why this is only 4 and not 5 stars is because I had to interact with a woman at the reception/front desk a couple times and every time it felt like I was speaking to someone who really hated their life but wanted to take it out on the person standing in front of them... I hope she is able to find peace during these trying times.

I talked to Sandra thru dispatch. Sandra was on the phone with me for almost 15 minutes. She was so so so very nice. From 2 situations this week, I feel bullied, lied to and I don't feel safe trusting the police the next time something happens. My daughter was out after curfew, without my permission, looking for something her sister had dropped hours earlier. She saw a guy collapse and fall into the street. She moved him to a safer spot and tried to help him. He came to and ran off. The police showed up and treated her terribly insinuating that she was lying. She was shaken and they were mean to her. They brought her home with 4 police cars making a big show for my neighbors. When they spoke to me, they mislead me about the true situation. They didn't lie but they made things sound differently than they were. Today, at work, I had a theft situation. I called 911. I tried to close our gate so he could not drive off. He managed to hit 2 cars in our lot and backed into our gate. He sped off. They found him and asked me to ride with them to identify the driver. I was happy to help. While I was in the back of the cop car, waiting for them to bring him out (never did) they accused me of causing damage to his car! I was warned that filing a false police report was against the law and that my story didn't line up. There was another witness that had backed up my story. I felt attacked, getting accused in the back of a police car when I was the victim!!!! I'm a boring, middle aged mom that doesn't cause problems. I never felt afraid to go to the police. Next time something happens I will feel hesitant to call them for help.

They legit hire anyone that they can find without doing proper mental tests and background checks. In my incident today, Officer Matthew Raabe, was the first person to arrive after I waited 2 hours and in the end, he did nothing to help me resolve the issue other than arguing back to me and power tripping. He had no idea about the law and needs to go to school to be more educated in criminal law. He had very bad manners, was super unprofessional, and extremely lazy because he refused to write a police report. Furthermore, Officer Raabe refused to give me his name or badge number which triggered him to get angry and drive away from the scene even though he didn't resolve the issue at hand and fulfill his duty as an officer and properly help the citizens of our city. Officer Raabe was terrible at controlling his emotions and got extremely angry and even fled the scene without any resolution, it was super pathetic and disappointing. I made it a point to ask him his name and department (the lobby he said) because he was the most attentive, companionate and proactive person I have ever spoken to throughout this unfortunate experience as a family member of an inmate. I received a concerning phone call from my son's dad today who I am separated from that he was having some medical issues and the fire dept was called due to breathing issues. Dept. Demilio made sure to contact the housing facility and confirm that he was OK. Thank you for giving me some piece of mind and not just dismissing me or transferring me to some dead end like I have experienced before.

I mean, it's a jail. It isn't designed to be a pleasant experience, but as far as the staff...I was met with nothing but courtesy. Except for a Dr. I spoke with. He was anything but friendly. Dr. Pham I believe was his name. He was flat out rude and condescending ! I'm not an inmate...no call to speak to me in such a manner concerning my family or friend. Or an inmate either for that matter. There's people out here that care about them !
