The retaining wall is beautiful and professionally constructed with an attention to the optimal height for efficient water drainage while not diminishing the curbside appeal. They worked efficiently and put in extra time due to some rains which created a work stoppage in the early stages of the project. They were intentional in communicating the process of the project as ideas unfolded and their expertise and suggestions were invaluable. I would use them again for landscaping projects and highly recommend them.

I accepted the quote and hired Johnny McGee on March 21st to repair our gate as we are in a…read morecommunity governed by an HOA, held under strict guidelines, and it was left in disrepair from the previous owner. It took a few days to complete as there was heavy rain which was no problem. I had a few issues with the workmanship, overall communication, and his professionalism. I have given him ample time to return but he flat out refuses after being paid in full. He advised he has a bigger job that is more important. 1. There are quite a few nail protruding from the fence which is pretty dangerous not only for us but anyone working or playing in the back yard. The nails are not the right size and/or he used the old nails that were originally in the gate. 2. We tried to open the gate so that we could get a vehicle in the back yard for an event, and noticed it no longer had clearance over a tree root. We had no issues before. Attached photo shows the boards were cut uneven on the gate. 3. Two of the new boards are already split. 4. Debris: Quite a few nails were left on the ground, wood scraps, and other debris from the pipe they cut to fix our water line that they hit.. We have cars, the landscapers, and our grandkids in and out of the back yard and I'd hate for anyone to damage a tire, equipment, or hurt themselves. 5. Waterline: They hit the water line while pulling up old concrete to place the new post. They replaced the pipe which was fine but the issue is the lack of communication. I was home and had no clue that they were there. This happened on three occasions on separate dates when I was about to shower, in the middle of washing laundry, and washing dishes. He advised hitting a water line or sprinkler system is not uncommon and they always had supplies on hand on the truck in the event it happened. I'll find out when I receive my water bill if it was indeed done properly. 6. Concrete: You can see from the photos how the concrete was left. I attributed to the amount of rain we had at the time but we had plenty of dry days as well. It is just plain bad workmanship.
