He is sweet, patient, and understanding. He REALLY wants you to do good and succeed in his class! He is always willing to answer your questions and constantly reviewed previous chapters to ensure that we know the material thoroughly. His excitement to teach keeps us students motivated to learn. He made statistics sound so interesting & exciting, that I often felt like his classes would fly by because I was so engaged in what he was teaching us. I I took his statistics class as a junior in high school (i am a duel enrollment student) and I could not have asked for a better professor!!! This was also my first school year being in a classroom setting, as I had previously been homeschooled all my life, but it was an easy transition when I had such an awesome professor like Professor Jarquin. If I ever have to take another math course in college I would absolutely want Professor Jarquin!!

When we met with the school, we were assured that this learning methodology WOULD work, unless there are behavioral or learning difficulties. In addition we were also told that our daughter would move up to a certain percentile having completed the program. My child was behind in reading comprehension but was seen as a great candidate for the LMB program. In fact, the woman we met with said, she had been working there for years and couldn't in good conscience ask parents to spend thousands of dollars on the curriculum unless we would see results! Unfortunately, after three months of significant time and money, my child's evaluation went from 4.9 grade level to a 5.0 grade level. And in fact her oral scores went down!? In hindsight, i was really worried and keen to set my daughter up for success, and didn't do enough research on this program. I wish i had worked with a personal tutor (which we are doing now and seems to be much more effective and affordable).

When #2 appointment rolled around she was very rude during their meet and greet hour and kept speaking over my son, not allowing him to speak. I tried a couple of times to tell her what he was saying and she began to silence me by telling me that she can only take answers from the child. To which I advised, I'm only saying exactly what he was trying to tell her. She proceeded to tell me that her volume is all the way up and she hears me clearly, so... It got to the point where my son stop answering her with his words and began using hand signals. During their meet and greet she revealed that she had been a elementary teacher for 8yrs -i cannot understand how. My 9yr old son, who is a people's person with an outdoor personality was very unengaged. She did not capture him in the slightest. She was more interested in using the 45mins they had together to tell him of her trips to Latin America with her family and her love for making music, then to to figure out how to capture my son's attention and keep him engaged. My goodness -I can go on and on about how badly the lesson went. Can you believe this woman began the lesson by yawning and telling my child she was feeling tired from staying up too late the night before RIGHT AFTER my child told her he was feeling EXCITING about starting tutoring. Then she had the audacity to cancel all future appointments with my child at the beginning of their next appointment with NO notice. The experience with this company has been extremely disappointing and unprofessional.
