Brianna Sutton was a tutor for both my sons. She cancelled #1 appointment 38 mins before it was scheduled. When #2 appointment rolled around she was very rude during their meet and greet hour and kept speaking over my son, not allowing him to speak. I tried a couple of times to tell her what he was saying and she began to silence me by telling me that she can only take answers from the child. To which I advised, I'm only saying exactly what he was trying to tell her. She proceeded to tell me that her volume is all the way up and she hears me clearly, so... It got to the point where my son stop answering her with his words and began using hand signals. During their meet and greet she revealed that she had been a elementary teacher for 8yrs -i cannot understand how. My 9yr old son, who is a people's person with an outdoor personality was very unengaged. She did not capture him in the slightest. She was more interested in using the 45mins they had together to tell him of her trips to Latin America with her family and her love for making music, then to to figure out how to capture my son's attention and keep him engaged. My goodness -I can go on and on about how badly the lesson went. Can you believe this woman began the lesson by yawning and telling my child she was feeling tired from staying up too late the night before RIGHT AFTER my child told her he was feeling EXCITING about starting tutoring. Then she had the audacity to cancel all future appointments with my child at the beginning of their next appointment with NO notice. The experience with this company has been extremely disappointing and unprofessional. read more

We use and love The Sunshine Method tutoring services. They are absolutely great! Their tutors dominate the subject. They are flexible and they do their best to meet your scheduling needs when you are not able to keep a set schedule (which should make sense for most but we have found ourselves between a rock and a hard place, with work and our son's school schedule). We have found it difficult to set a specific schedule for the sessions but despite of that, they have always come through for us. My son started working with The Sunshine Method Mid May. Before he started I spoke with Shavon who asked a series of questions to better match him with a tutor. I found this strange but answered all her questions. He was matched with David and I could not be happier. I was uncertain at first because David is young, but I'm glad I let everything play itself out. David is not only a tutor he is a role model for my son and we have enjoyed working with him.
