I've used this service and was somewhat happy with the results (not perfect but after 20 years in the business I don't expect perfect), I am totally not happy with the service.. They send out a photographer to photograph homes in preparation of selling. Sounds simple enough but they have found a way to make it complicated. They won't call the client to book the appointment, they want you to call. So you call the client and get a time and you call Leading Image to book it, then they say they are booked at that time and that time is not good, so they give you a couple of other times that does work for them. You call the client back and ask them if these times are ok, client says no, they will be at the cottage for the week returning friday. So the client gives you another time and you call back to Leading Image. Leading Image says no, they don't work weekends. So you have to call the client back to reschedule again. By this time your client is starting to question your professionalism. I asked Leading Image to please call the client direct and set up an appointment that is good for both of them. The time really doesn't matter to me. They refuse because if they set it up with the client and then the client cancels at the last minute they will be out the $25 cancelation fee. I told them they can build the cancelation fee into my fee, I really don't mind about $25, I just want the work done. They will have no part of it. They are very unprofessional in their approach, they also prefer not to talk to you but to do everything by email which again makes it frustrating and difficult. For this reason (and many other reasons) I would not use Leading Image again. I tried twice with two different clients and it was a nightmare.
I went back to my original photography company Obeo, they are reliable and been around for a while and understand customer care. Not perfect but perfect is not something you can expect in this industry. I would love to find a company that instead of being the cheapest, they would be the best and if they have to charge more for it so be it.
As you can see by the comment below, they defend themselves at my expense. I guess I am a liar and what happened was only in my mind. If I am the client in their mind then they really should try to make my job easier and more professional. They haven't a clue how to treat a client or who the "client" is. The client is the one actually paying the bill and that is not me. The client is the homeowner.
