Beware of this company SALESMAN WILL TRY AND RIP YOU OFF. My experience with Leaf Filter was horrible. Its started with the salesman who basically tried to rip me off with his initial offer of over $10,000 dollars for just 150 feet of gutter protection! Yes, TEN thousand!! The salesman will try and swindle you out of as much money as they can get out of you. Unless you stand your ground and know how much you want to pay and how much this stuff is worth, you will get ripped off. From my research, this stuff should not cost more than $16 a linear foot installed. Their installers also tried to personally get my credit card number several times even though I was told by their own salesman they are not supposed to take any payments directly. I find all this very suspicious and gave my payment to leaf filter directly through their 800 number. THEIR INSTALLERS ARE CONTRACTORS AND WILL DO SHODDY WORK UNLESS YOU CHECK THEIR WORK. Their installers are unsupervised subcontractors who don't actually work for leaf filter. The workmanship was horrible. No one from leaf filter corporate will supervise their work or check that it is done properly when the job is completed. Its up to you the customer to check their work. You must get on a ladder and make sure they installed the product and installed it correctly. In my case the installer did not get the correct size product for my gutter size and just forced it to fit, screwing it onto the top of the gutter through the stainless mesh instead of going and getting the proper sized product. I discovered this after they were finished and had to make them come out and redo it all. If I had not have caught it, this shoddy work would still be there without me knowing. Their sloppy and careless work quality will be up to you to check and make them correct. If you don't catch it, then its your loss. THEY WILL HARRASS YOU BEFORE THE JOB IS COMPLETED CORRECTLY. I did not pay until the work was done and they fixed their shoddy workmanship. However before I finally paid and the work was completed, I received threatening calls from leaf filter saying they were going to take legal action to collect even before they were finished with the job. We had Leaf Filters installed September of 2019. Wish we had done more looking in to this product, and the company in general. Apparently Leaf Filters knows the mesh screen is to fine to allow water into the gutter. The water runs over the top especially in heavier rain, and especially along valleys in a roof. Leaf Filter installed things they call rain diverters, to try to help with the runoff. A rain diverter is a small piece of sheet metal that is caulked onto our shingles. Really looks nice on the roof (not!), and it doesn't help. Anyway after a claim with the BBB, Leaf filter says the product is working as designed. I want the product removed, and my money back, but, I apparently would have to go through the legal route. So my advice is do not waste your money on this product. You can pay someone to clean your gutters for far less then what we paid for this product that doesn't work. If I could give less then one star I would. read more

After purchasing our Gutter Guard system from LeafFilter 4 or 5 years ago on the 5 years same as cash plan of which I only used a year to pay off at a cost of approx. $3,500.00 for 88LF of gutter. I just had a rather disturbing phone call with Mr. Josh Sheperd in customer service, After asking to have our annual service call to remove the Maple Tree seeds (you know the helicopter things that float down everywhere) from our gutters Mr. Sheperd told me they don't cover that in their warranty! I said but your company has come out and cleaned our gutters for 3 or 4 years now and all of a sudden you no longer honor your lifetime warranty! No we don't Mr. Sheperd told me and said I could have them come out and take care of it for $95.00. Well I didn't like that idea so I asked to talk to the manager and Mr. Sheperd told me he was the manager and that's all he could do for me and promptly said good bye and hung-up the phone! Which made even madder! So here we are with a $3500.00 Gutter system that has a lifetime warranty and transferable to boot that's worthless! I'm to dam old to be climbing ladders to clean the gutters! What a waste of money! Hell at $95 a pop that would have got me 36 years of gutter cleaning! Had Leaf Filter installed on 7/29/19. Had problem shortly after with front gutter leaking and the material placed on the gutter looked all crooked. I did call for service and the tech that came got up on a ladder and said everything was OK. Come winter the front gutter leaked in the same spot and also leaked now on the back of the house. I phoned Leaf Filter. I was told they don't do service calls in winter. That was understandable. Well we haven't had much rain until lately. Yes, gutters leaking. I phoned Leaf Filter on 9/8/20 and was told that the warranty is good for one year. After one year I now have to pay a $95 service charge. The representative informed me that was line D of the contract. Sure enough line D mentions a service charge but no dollar amount. So these people can charge whatever they want with this bogus Lifetime warranty..I told they representative absolutely not. I was told a manager would call me by the end of the day. An online search for LeafFilter showed this product costs $7 per foot installed. When the saleman (Ted) showed up and measured, I was quoted $42 per foot. $42 is quite a bit higher than $7 Ted! At the full quote I was given, I could pay someone to clean my gutters twice per year for 12 years. Think about that! read more

The installer worked VERY hard for a day and a half and finished on time. He did a great job.

Salesman was pushy and rude. Quoted me an absurd price and when I made it clear I wasn't going to pay that much he dropped the price by half (thousands of dollars). If you can sell it to me for that price then why would you start with a ridiculous quote. I feel bad for anyone who pays what they quote. Salesman tried to pressure us into buying on the spot and was very confrontational. Funny enough, if you do research their one of a kind product is available from other companies. Mike the sales rep was friendly and informative. He measured all the gutters and found 40 feet on the side of the house were bowed and needed to be replaced. He had to return and adjust the proposal for the front gutters when I pointed out holes in them. The gutter install crew was a no call no show on the first appointment. On the 2nd appointment they showed up at the end of the 4 hour window. This caused the LeafFilter installer a late start and had to return the next day to complete the work. The first heavy rain I went out to look at the effectiveness of the system. I found the gutter installers did not reconnect a new downspout to a french drain and a leak a the corner where the new gutter joined the existing gutter. The patio box drain was also leaking onto the patio furniture. My appointment for warranty repairs was a month away from my request. The repair tech called the same day saying he was in the area and would like to come out to make the repairs. He cleaned out the gutters as the installer did not. He repaired the leaks and added more hangers in the patio box drain as there were not enough. He went to a local hardware store to purchase the missing parts to connect the french drain. The system works great. I still have yet to evaluate the repairs as it hasn't rained yet. The system did work great during the first rain, but had a few leaks. Heads up, on a box drain for patios the leaves do not blow off like the normal gutters. The leaves pile up on top of the LeafFilter and patio ceiling screens. You will have to blow them off yourself. This was my first venture into gutter systems, and I can say when they are installed and glued correctly they work excellent. This review is not about the product but about the service to expect when you work with LeafFilter. Expect a hard sell, the salesman will insult you if you want to get a second opinion or if you want to wait to talk it over with your spouse. - this is where the discounts start piling on. In my case the first amount quoted verbally was $9,000 but after debating to kick the guy out of my house the price started dropping down to 7k them 4k and finally down to 3.25k for the install. The more insults and insinuations you endure the lower the price will go. At least this is what happened to me. My job was simple, install 2 new down spouts, attach them to my French drain and install the leaf filter system. The crew will work fast, they will work to get a crew to your house as soon as they have a check in hand, also part of their selling tactic. If you don't commit on the day of the evaluation you will expect to pay several thousand more. I fell for this tactic. On the paperwork side my contract and my warranty have 2 different job numbers on them so expect some discrepancies! Expect the contract to be written in long hand and hope you can read the writing. Make sure all notes are on the actual contract and not other pieces of paper written on by the salesman. This is important for when customer service challenges what you agreed on with the salesman! On the day of the install the crew showed up on time, was very professional and worked fast. The downside was they didn't bring enough material to complete the job! They did get the Leaf Filter system installed and completed installing one of the two downspouts to the French drain. They didn't bring enough parts for the second downspout and I was told they would come back out the next day to complete the install. Fast forward a couple weeks and several service calls and apologies later they send a guy out to attach the downspout to my house and fix a leak in the gutters. Leaks happen and he just needed to add some more glue. The downspout was installed off center 6 inches from my French drain. Yes I could fix this but I paid the company 3k to complete the job. Fast forward several more weeks and one missed service call later I start calling daily. The new region manager answers the phone and informs me he sent out a service tech to take pictures of my house and he would be happy to share them with me and that it is against the company policy to attach anything to the French drain, well they already connected one! According to the managers explanations that the company will never connect their product to any underground system as they would be liable. Well I guess they are now by their own logic as they are 50/50 on target. So I can say expect follow up to be poor, expect the salesman to lie, expect excuses and apologies from customer service. Expect to cover the cost of any other follow up on your own. The fix for me is to pay 10 bucks to get the parts needed to connect my drain and drill a new hole in my brick house for the bracket. read more

I used the coupon for a free quote in Valpak. The salesman comes out without a ladder to look at my gutters? He measures from the ground but has no idea if the gutters are full. I decide to do the highest rear gutter 44 feet they start quoting $1600 then $800 then another price and I said yes. I meet the installer there he complained about the height and how hard the installation was, and also said he did not have a ladder to look at the front gutters to see if they were full of debris. I watched him clean the gutters and unclog one down spout. The other down spout was still clogged the next time it rained. So I asked them to come back out and clean it out, but I wanted them to also inspect the front gutter to see if it needed done also. The card I received on my front door since they were to arrive between 8-12 and did not show. They just popped up later when I was not home leaving a note that said the front gutter was not under contract so they did nothing on the front. WOW !!!!! THEY DO NOT REPEAT BUSINESS. read more

LeafFilter guarantees that your gutters won't clog after installation - and - that is a true statement. Neither would your gutters clog if you put an impervious sheet metal cover over your gutters - also true. But - here's the rub... If you live in an area with trees - dropping (for example) maple seeds, leaves, pine needles - you will end up with a roof covered with leaves, seeds and needles. When the rains come, they will be washed into the roof valleys, and onto the top of LeafFilter. So far, so good ... they didn't wash *into* you gutters (guarantee is accurate). ... but, when these elements hit the LeafFilter, they will come to a screeching halt...and stay ON TOP of the LeafFilter, blocking the rainwater from permeating through the screen to your gutters. Now you will have rainwater dripping off of the edges of your gutters and running down the walls of your house ALL around your home. If you also were unfortunate enough to have ordered the valley "shields" - that prevent water from racing down the valleys and into/over LeafFilter...leaves, needles, seeds...will all pile up behind the shield...yes, preventing water flow through the Leaf Filter, and instead, directing all water from the valley to flow around the shield on both sides. Perhaps there is no perfect gutter product - but Leaf Filter - despite the breathless claims of "never have clogged gutters again" - will ultimately disappoint you if you do have debris from surrounding trees fall on your roof. You will be left no choice but to have to clean the top of the Leaf Filter EVERY YEAR. Yes, that is likely easier than having to clean out your gutters - but - it will still involve getting on your roof or ladder, to clean every year. Be aware, you will pay enough for many years of pressure washing service - to end up with a product - that will still require annual cleaning. read more

Worst experience ever! In early may of 2018 I contracted to have part of my gutters covered with LeafFilter. The process was costly but I wanted to do it in a section at a time. The two sales guys, one from Califon NJ and a Manager from Ohio, came out and gave me the demo and sales pitch. I signed a contract, was told that they would be here on May 25th. I stayed home from work that day in order to be here for the installation. At 5 o'clock they still had not arrived, I called and they said they would be doing it either Saturday or Sunday, "some big job in Atlanta had just taking longer then they expected" It is now two months past the date and I have not heard from them yet. After all the research and efort I put into this, I have not heard a word from them, I guess my little job was not worth their efforts, I am extremely disappointed in this franchise in NJ. These gutter guards have been a lifesaver. I love em! Last spring (2011) there was more rain than ever in NE Ohio. I was in my house building an Arc, not cutting my grass, not trimming the hedges...basically just waiting for the rain to stop. Once I got outside in early summer i didn't pay much attention to my roof or gutters. There was more than enough work to do on the yard. When fall came and there were more rainy days my gutters overflowed everywhere. My landscaping washed out. I even had some leaky windows. I climbed up on my ladder the next weekend and my gutters were a swampy mess. It was disguting. Some of my gutters had come unattached from the roof and there was a lot of standing water and visible wood rot. I got online and started researching solutions. There were a lot of gutter guard systems and they all (at least according to their websites and brochures) were number 1. I found some reviews on Consumer Reports and that lead me to Leaf Filter and a few other companies. When all was said and done I talked to 4 different companies. I almost had to forcibly remove some of the reps (or Sales Vultures) from my living room. Leaf Filter was different. Eveyone I dealt with was courteous and professional. No high pressure. The product looked to be the best. And, it was surprisingly cheaper than all of the other systems that I looked at. Better and cheaper! I was sold. It's been about 1 year and I couldn't be happier. I was told by the sales rep that my gutters were in bad shape and that they would need reinforcement and that they looked clogged, etc. etc. I questioned the cost and level of effort a little and told me that a crew would be here for a few hours...again, trying to justify the cost. In the end, to get me to buy-in, he said he would reduce the amount to just cover his "costs". He said, "look, we're just trying to keep our guys busy during the COVID virus, so we'll do it at cost". He even went to the extent to write "Cost" next to the total amount due. In the end, the technician was at my house for 3 hours total (1 person). He did not reinforce all my gutters, for all were in good shape except for one. I was charged $897.60 for 3 labor hours, 5 metal brackets and some silicone! This is is pure fraud! If the level of effort was over estimated, then I should be reimbursed to match the actual level of effort that it took. read more

The gentleman did actually show up on time, so there's that. I was not home, as their only Install date was on a day I couldn't get off work, so my mom came over before they were done to pay. She neglected to check the back if the house, which was left a COMPLETE disaster all over my deck. Along with a huge wire hanging down, which I have no idea what it is, guy never mentioned it....i called and said I wanted someone out asap to clean his mess before it ruins my deck, and that wire to be put back wherever it came from. They did come out 2 days later and half ass cleaned up my mess, and the wire is still hanging, untouched. I called back, they guy said he will email someone.......ummm. ok? This was a gift from my mom, and they bamboozled her out of way too much money, especially to leave it a damn wreck. I am hoping the product works better than their people do. The sales man came buy and was on time.. We wanted covers for our gutters and he claimed his covers were patented and better than the competition. He inspected and took photos of my gutter. He said my gutters were a little rusty and I probably would have to replace them in a couple of years -no problem. His presentation was a little like a used car salesman. The price varied depending when I had the job done. If I didn't have them do the job within the next couple of days I would lose 15% of my having it done soon 25% discount.. Unfortunately I did not do my homework and the $4126 discount price was rather high. I agreed. The next day a worker shows up early. I told him not to have the worker come early as I had another project going at that time. The worker looks over my gutters and says he will not do the work as the gutters are too rusty. He said he is an independent contractor and is not a Leaf Filter employee. There was no real communication between the contractor and the company sales person. He said it was not typical for the contractor to communicate with Leaf Filter only a job order. Thus two separate opinions with no communication. After that I lost all confidence in the company. read more

I had these LeafFilter gutter guards installed on the whole house. It has been a nightmare. First, they made me pay for 6 inch gutters and downspouts, then the installers cut only a 2 inch hole. The gutters were overrunning. That took 6 months to correct. Both gutters on the metal roof porches were leaking between the gutter and the fascia when installed. 2 years later, they are still leaking. I have called and written letters and sent video of the water streaming from behind the gutters to no avail. The original gutters did not leak. Now my fascia is rotting. I have been calling in for the past TWO years and they just keep trying to put a "quick fix" on the problem. They keep sending out contractors that only fix a part of the problem and with the wrong materials. It usually takes 6 months between calls to get a contractor to come out. The company has installed a more porous screen (valley screen) hoping it might solve the problem. Why was the incorrect screen installed originally? It did not solve the problem. Meanwhile, my fascia continues to rot. Two of their contractors looked at the gutters on the metal roof sections and determined that the gutter was not installed under the existing drip edge. They suggested to raise the gutter so it was under the drip edge (putting more holes in an already compromised fascia board) or to install flashing metal under the drip edge and over the gutter edge so that the water should not be able to leak onto the fascia using the existing holes. I agreed to the flashing because I did not want more holes drilled in the fascia and gutter. They agreed that the screws into the fascia should have been caulked. They noted that some of the screws were not driven in all the way and were leaking. The latest contractor tried to get me to agree to him putting Window Flashing Tape in the gutter to stop the leaking. The packaging on the tape clearly stated it was not for roofs and could not be left exposed to the elements. This contractor was sent out with the wrong materials and no flashing. He also showed up with only white splash guards and wanted to install them on my bronze gutters. He went to Lowes and bought spray paint and painted the white guards. I expect the spray paint to wear off in a year. Why did he show up with the wrong color splash guards? Why didn't he show up with the correct flashing? I spoke with the service manager and he claims it is not the company's fault the gutters are leaking and that the solution is to install flashing under the existing drip edge and over the gutter edge. He claims his contractors did not say the gutters should have been installed under the drip edge. Now he claims the only solution is for me to spend $300 to have them install metal flashing to fix the problem. Why do I have to pay for flashing when the gutters should have been installed originally under the existing drip edge? IF the solution is flashing, why wasn't it installed with the new Leaf Filter gutters? My fascia continues to rot. He could not answer why his company installed the gutters BELOW the existing drip edge. He just kept repeating my name and talking over me when I tried to ask questions. Finally he lost his temper, would not give me his name and hung up on me. My original gutters were installed correctly, they removed those and installed gutters that leak. Their customer service line just connects to an agent that is supposed to record your issue. They have no knowledge of gutters. They are severely overworked and try to do their best, but they won't connect you to anyone that can solve the problem. AVOID THIS COMPANY!!! I wish I could give a negative rating. He didn't ever give me a time frame. Wanted the mesh off because it is just clogging everything. Winters are horrible. Spoke to Matis on 7/9/19 and he was very rude. He asked me if I would quit calling if he had some one come out to look at problems. I said not until I quit having all these problems. He went ahead and scheduled the appointment to send some out on 7/10/19 between 1:00 and 4:00, no one came. Does not do any good to call 800-749-4566 as the owner said someone would help. They don't listen to customer service, they do there job, but management doesn't. All management, David, Chad, Tom and Blaine quit calling back. Well, I'm done with this company and will take legal action and call BBB. I have documentation from day one and 8/19 will be a year that rain gutters were installed. Nate was the salesman that sold us this product and is is horrible. Buyer beware.We will have another company come out and see about removing mesh. Everything was poorly done. We had used this company on our previous home and decided when we moved to our new home we would purchase from them again. We completed the project with gutter install first and then the gutter guards. My husband called this company for 4 weeks straight leaving messages and trying to email (given an email for the company that didn't exist), and never heard any reply about completing the job. After we decided to quit with Leaf Filter and contact other companies through Home Advisor, my inquiry came up with this company as #3. They thought we were a new customer and called me twice during work hours to come out for an estimate within a day!! They will call you only if you're a new customer, not existing. We can't even imagine if you need a repair how long they would take. We shouldn't have to beg a company to complete a job or service for 4 weeks with no phone calls! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! The product has never worked. The company threatens to charge you for working on it when they report a life time guarantee for the product. They put up a black gutter on top of our tan gutter to try to catch the water in high water zones, but these look ugly and they overflow. They then proceed to tell you that you have to clean them to keep that from happening. The filter fails even with just a few granules from the roofing tile. You have to clean before every rain to keep it mostly working, but it still fails even on relatively light rain. read more

DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT unless you want to have black streaks down the front of your gutters. The Leaf Filter system, in concept, is good; it does keep leaves out of your gutters. However, the system comes in sections about 3 feet long. These sections are screwed to your gutter and there are seams at the end of each. After a few short months, you will notice black streaks down the front of your gutters at the location of every seam and every screw. The company will claim that it is your home that has caused this. However, the manager I dealt with admitted that if I did not have Leaf Filter on my home, I would not have the streaking. The company will do NOTHING for you and you will be out a lot of money or have to resort to legal action. Also, they have the WORST customer service ever! They set up SIX appointments for a service tech to come to my home and never showed. I lost count of the number of times they said they would call back and didn't. For the price of Leaf Filter, you can pay somebody to clean your gutters every year for about 20 years and still have money in your pocket. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They replaced a section of my gutters 3 years ago. The installers where nice and I thought they did a good job (boy was I wrong). I even had them do a complete replace of gutters and add gutter protection at my parents house. So I was a very good customer for them. Fast forward three years and I notice the wood on the side of my house where they installed the gutters was rotting. On closer inspection of the gutters using a ladder there are gaps between the house and the gutters on two sections. Rain water is coming off the roof and going through the gaps down the side of my house. I called the Farmington hills location that installed the gutters. The manager or owner there tells me it is out of warranty (which i already new) and they installed them correctly with a gap!?! I asked them why would they leave a gap on purpose. He gets very belligerent and asks me what can we do for you? I said all I want is the gap fixed. I would even pay for that. And to my surprise he again is belligerent. I assume fixing what they did wrong requires more than just fixing the gap they left. I assume it would require replacing the rotten wood. I am shocked with his attitude because again I was not asking for anything free. Even though they installed the cutters incorrectly I just want them fixed so that no more damage happens to the wood. I get upset at this point and the phone conversation ends with him saying to me F-you. Maybe he is having a hard time like everyone is now. Or maybe he is so defensive because he is a deceitful business man and has to deal with his customers always calling him to complain about his company. Either way DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. read more

I had this system put in in 2009- I paid extra money for this as it had a LIFETIME WARRANTY and a NO CLOG guarantee. I have tried to get a service call for the last 5 weeks. I agreed to pay the $95 service charge for this, as I have obvious clogged gutters that are overflowing. I initially scheduled on 8-30-19- took off work early that day to be there for the 1-5 PM window. No-one showed or called.Rescheduled for 9/7/19- 8-12 AM, again I took off from work- no-one called or showed - by 1130 I called them- was told "the serviceman is running late- can't do it today". Rescheduled for 9/7/19 from 8-12 noon- again no -one showed or called. I spoke multiple times to Josh Insley- the installer manager- now was offered to have service done without a fee. Rescheduled for 9/28/19 8-12 noon. This appointment was confirmed 3 times earlier this week! No-one showed or called- I called at 1130AM- again told "running late", they will be there today in the afternoon. By 230 PM, called customer service, they took my info and said I would be called back- no one called! What horrible customer service with no respect for their clients' time or business. I am telling everyone to NOT use this operation. If they do actually service my gutters, I will change my review, but I warn you to stay away- there are plenty of other options out there. read more

I thought I had done my homework when I chose Leaf Filter. The sales rep was professional and straightforward in his presentation. The system was installed on May 11, 2020. Shortly after that we had a rainstorm and it was obvious that there were installation problems and clogs. I recorded waterfalls cascading off the front gutters onto the porch and the system missing the downspout on the east side of the house altogether. I called customer service multiple times as instructed: no response, ever! Finally, after contacting the sales rep was able to get in touch with the manager who did send someone to fix the defects. He fixed the front gutters but said he thought he would need a different caliber mesh to allow the water to enter the downspout. He said he would let me know when that came in and when he had authorization from the manager to install it. It is now more than THREE MONTHS later and after repeated calls and text messages I have heard nothing. The contract states clearly "no clog money back guarantee". My attorney reviewed the contract and assured me it is valid. At this point I want my money back! read more

Our in home consultation went very smooth and the representative was very receptive of our needs and answered all our questions. We were able to work out a financing plan through Wells Fargo for 6 months same as cash. The downside here was that the representative told me that the interest rate would be between 12-13 percent and that any payment made after the 6 month promotional period, the interest would be on the remaining balance only. When I received my financing materials after installation, I was surprised to find that this was not true. The interest would be on the total purchase price after the 6 month period and it was actually 29 percent! This was disheartening because now I have to pay it all off in the 6 months or I can't afford it. It will be tight, but we'll make it happen. I was not home for the installation itself (my husband was) but I got home in time to sign the final paperwork. We have had several hard rains since the installation and have had no issues with the Leaf Filter. My only critique of installation is that gutter debris was left on my back porch but overall he did a great job cleaning up. The job was done in under two hours. We saw Leaf Filter as a good investment for our first home that has a transferable warranty to the next owners should we move. If we hadn't invested in Leaf Filter we would have had to have our gutters cleaned 2-3 times per year due to our home being in a very wooded area. We would definitely recommend Leaf Filter to anyone looking for a low maintenance gutter solution. read more

The installer failed to show up for the first appointment and didn't bother to call. When the contractor finally installed the gutter and leaf protection, he spray painted some of the gutter joints from a can of spray paint he purchased at the store on the way to our house because LeafFilter didn't have enough material in the color we ordered. He also failed to install all of the leaf filter cap, missing a 6 foot stretch and also failed to properly seal four sections of the gutter. We discovered this when it rained the next day and water spilled and dripped out of the gutter. Over the next ten days, I called the installer and the salesman three times each. I also called the Customer Service number three times and left a message when an operator didn't answer. The recording promised a return call within 24 hours; never happened. Apparently LeafFilter laid off about ¾ of the support staff. Of these 9 calls, only the salesman called us back once, promising to talk with his manager and let us know how the problems would be corrected. Never called back. I finally had to buy some sealant and try to seal the leaky areas myself to stop the water from draining into the foundation. Took four attempts to fix two of the leaks; two still leak. A LeafFilter employee finally arrived about 10 days after installation and installed the missing leaf filter section. Inspected the four leaky sections but did nothing and didn't comment on the areas that had been spray painted a slightly different color. For a premium price, we received a system that leaks and was installed by the seat of the pants. Highly unresponsive company, and one that doesn't take responsibility for its work. Lots of stress and frustration for us. How can any company accept this result, especially one that supposedly received high marks from Consumer Reports read more

I had an estimate done on June 5, 2019. I had told the guy that I was having a new roof put on and wanted to wait until that time. When that time came, which was to be August 20, 2019, I had scheduled the guy from Leaf Filter to be at my house on the same day as the roofers so he could re-strap my gutters before the new roof was put on. I called the day before and left a message with the person who schedules the workers. I got his voice mail and I left a message to confirm. He didn't call back that day, but I assumed he got my message. The next day the roofer called me to ask where the gutter guy was. I called the scheduler again, got his voice mail again, and then called the company. I was routed to customer service, who knew nothing about my appointment. I told the roofer to just go ahead and put the new roof on so they weren't waiting and not working. To this date, no one from Leaf Filter has contacted me. I have cancelled my contract and will find another company to work with. Leaf Filter has terrible customer service and does not show up to do the work. I am also filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. read more

Received many promotional calls and emails from the company to set up an appointment. I set aside time up when my husband and I could be available (since that was mandatory for purchase as per the telephone scheduler) made the appointment, confirmed the appointment and then received 3 more calls from other service reps from the same company to schedule an appointment, so I had to explain 3 times that I had an appointment scheduled already. It appears that their computer system doesn't recognize when an appointment is scheduled. So my appointment was scheduled today 3/7/20, and received a confirmation call at 8:17 am this morning confirming time of appointment, and when 1:00 pm came no one showed up, no one called to cancel. So I called the company to find out where the sales rep was, and the call center rep was apologetic and read the comments in the computer stating they were unable to get in touch with me and the appointment was actually never confirmed per their computer notes. My husband and I own a service based company, I find this to be extremely unprofessional and feel if they operate this way when trying to sell a product then likely they do not need my business and they do not hold their sales reps accountable for their poor service. Would never recommend this product from this company because service is not a top priority! read more

Seems like everyone else has had a similar experience as we did. Since installing the gutters last winter after the big windstorm took out our previous gutters, I've had to call and or email my salesperson, or support line to come clean the gutter screens so they will work properly. The water constantly streams over the front side of the gutter and underneath, creating waterstains and moss on our front porch, as well as allowing water to leak into near the edge of the house. The last tech to come clean the gutters even commented that the gutters were improperly installed for the pitch of my roof (not that I could get him on record). Apparently because of the poor installation, things are growing within the screen and that's what is causing the water to cascade over. He said that was no big deal, that I could just call them every few months to come and clean them. I shouldn't have to call multiple times a year to have you come and temporarily fix your faulty install. The gutters are overpriced, and have caused more problems than they've solved. if i could give less then zero review - i would. (lie #1) when i made the appt 4 the salesman to come out, i was told the estimate is good for a year. (lie #2) when the salesman came out-told me i could only get this price if i schedule on june 1, 2019 bc there was other jobs n the area (lie #3). sent out an untrained installer to my home. first thing he did was complain how far he had to drive for making no money bc it's a small job.(39 feet) was here less than 1 hour and damage my home beyond repair & even missed a gutter. next, they sent out a guy named leo telling me he is the supervisor(lie #4) he was disrespectful, rude, condescending and belittling. so much so, i threw him off my property. then, had to get the last word it trying to turn it around on me. the next morning i received a call frm james sasser (mgr of orlando office) that accused me of harassing the installer sherman and leo via phone calls and texts. (lie #5) fact: sherman called me & left a message to get hired to work on my home outside of leaf filter & i texted back. i would never hire him due to his horrible workmanship he did the day b4. i asked how would i have leo's ph# told him i am screenshoting my ph call and texts list and send it to him. he told me, not necessary. i asked, why? james sasser admitted he lied. (lie #6). he sent out enzo that was at my home for 4 hours trying to repair the damage done. he caused more damage. i called the service number at their headquarters. was told an executive would call me back (lie #7) called again & was told the regional mgr in florida named jimmy would call me on june 10th (lie #8). i made several more calls to the headquarters. promising i would get a return call within 48 hrs (lie #8) it's 24 days later and no one has returned my several phone calls. there is no such thing as a lifetime warranty (lie #9) they just ignore you. my new gutters damaged & enzo even removed brackets the gutter company installed to hav level gutters & now the gutter is angle down-he tried to hide all the damage done to my home. sherman damaged all fascias, screwed holes n my gutters against my home - the screw not attached to anything. enzo removed the screws and siliconed the holes. when it rains, its rains between my home & gutters. i disputed the cost on my credit card. i never signed a agreement nor did i get a receipt. this is a scam company!!! today, i had the gutter company that installed my gutters originally and they were horrified by all the damaged these two installers did. i have to get the fascias and gutters replaced. the fascias are all broken. they will be paying the replacement of my gutters & the fascias. my original gutter company wrote a letter that was uploaded to my credit card company with replacement cost - to put the home back were it was before leaf filter did all this damage. read more

Leaf filter does not work. Our first spring the screens on the leaf filter clogged so much that no water could penetrate the gutter. The water flows off the roof and onto the ground making the mulch in our flowerbeds flow onto the sidewalk. We complained to Scott the district installation manager and he states we have to get up on a ladder and clean the filters just the same as cleaning the gutter. Now Greg Pike the salesman who sold us the system promised us that we would never again have to get up on a ladder to clean and therefore insure our safety. That is totally untrue because now we have to clean the filters on top of the gutters which takes the same amount of time and work to clean our original gutters. After having our roof replaced, and needing to replace our storm gutters, we researched several area organizations and received several project quotations. We watched a television advertisement for LeafFilter and gave them a call. The sales representative, Arnold, was extremely thorough and professional. He measured, matched colors (as required by our homeowners association), and spoke with his home office (in my presence) to confirm product availability, adding that it might take a couple of weeks. We waited the interval and, on installation date, the (sub-contractor) team arrived to complete the project. They, however, advised us that the "color" could not be ordered since there was a MINIMUM required of 100+ feet. Therefore they brought out a totally different shade that stuck out like a sore thumb. Since we committed to the installation (contract), we had no option other than to allow them to complete the job. We ended up paying a professional painting contractor $100.00 to paint the gutters so that they adhered to the community standard requirement. We passed this information along to the sales representative who suggested that we file a complaint with the home office. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS ORGANIZATION TO ANYONE! read more

We had them put on a few months ago and after experiencing another type of filters on the house we sold, we were impressed as to what these would do beings we (unfortunately) live with neighbors huge fir trees and are constantly having to have our roof cleaned. So in the longrun that has saved us money. On the other hand, the water still pours over the gutters in a hard rain and everywhere the gutters connect gets dirt, etc running off of it. I did ask that a splashguard be installed as when you walk up to our front door the corner of the house and garage have a run constantly that soaks anyone coming to door. They explained the splashguard would fill up and be hard to get on ladder and clean the debri over it, so therefore we did not get one. So we have to deal with that aspect but as for not having gutters clogged up and not having to have them cleaned out, it has saved us a lot of time and money. We are retired so it is hard to get on the roof anymore, so therefore these have been somewhat of a blessing to us. Susan Corliss read more

I'm with Michelle G. Initially we were happy....but, in contrast to their claims, pine and fir needles do NOT just roll off. They accumulate on the screening material and in a nasty rain water was pouring over the edges of all the gutters and creating troughs in the flower beds below. We called for service....was told they would be thoroughly cleaned and inspected. When he arrived, he did get up on the roof...but had to ask my husband if he had a leaf blower he could use because it would be easier!! Not! Ultimately he used a broom to brush the needles off and spent a total of about 20 minutes....Were they thoroughly cleaned and inspected...we'll see when we have the next rainy spell. Why was the technician not supplied with his own maintenance equipment???? Ridiculous!! For what we paid to have these installed, that should include automatic regular maintenance...or a schedule of such. Consequently we have to incur additional cost to have another firm blow the roof and gutters....as well as pay for Leaf Filter to do this after the first year. Not sure what good their warranty is. Are we happy.......NO!! read more
