Such a great experience to learn the culture and language from this school, my kids loved the class and teachers!

My son enjoys coming to Leap Dragon for all the activities and interaction with other students. The teachers and staff are so professional and very friendly. I'm very happy to have found this learning center.

My daughter has been coming here for 3 months and is really making progress with her English. Her teacher, Ms. Priscilla is very patient and you could tell she loves her job. She is always coming up with fun ideas for the kids to learn

Seriously this is an amazing place for kids. My 5 year old son and I stopped by this location on the grand opening day and was surprised to find out how clean and spacious place Leap Dragon offers, not speaking of how enthusiastic their teachers and how interesting their programs are. My son stayed there for the whole afternoon and begged me to bring him back the second day. We signed up for the winter camp right away. Now we look forward to the after-school program for the next semester. Thanks Leap Dragon to take care of my kid with extremely patience and to offer such a fun environment. Moreover, I can't thank enough for Mr. Luke and Miss Veronica. Way to go!Lleap dragon!

I literally never heard from her or anyone else again. Maybe they continued the classes on Zoom or something. I stopped by the school a few times but the door was locked. I'd paid something like $250 for 8 sessions and I did 5 or 6 of the 8. I contacted her about a year later after the horrid first phase of Covid was over, and she said she was sorry that we'd fallen out of touch and that I was welcome to return sometime. I think Irma is probably outstanding for one-on-one instruction. But after 6 class sessions, we hadn't really gotten very far, and I am sure I'd have had to pay her thousands of dollars before I was proficient in Spanish. I guess what I was looking for was something like a 4 or 6-semester Spanish class a couple times a week that wouldn't have cost me more than about $1,000 total (yeah, "good luck with that" in these times of inflation...) I actually did find this at Pierce College and it was way beyond bad - after 6 weeks of twice-weekly sessions, we were still on uno, dos, tres and learning how to use the verbs ser and estar. Anyhow, I wish Irma and her program the best, even if it didn't happen to work out for me personally.

When the class ended, I hired Irma to teach me privately, which she has done for the last three years. I have studied Spanish my entire life, and have had many teachers, but no one compares with Irma.  She not only has extensive knowledge of the language, but she is a very intuitive teacher who is able to assess her students and tailor the lesson plan to best suit their needs.  I also believe in Irma because she is very patient and thoughtful. Irma has had a tremendous impact on my life.  Firstly, she has helped me improve significantly my ability to speak, read and write Spanish.  Second, I really feel that the world is a more open place for me, because I am able to communicate with everyone in my environment, and speaking Spanish with native speakers immediately puts them at ease, opens up doors, and shows them respect.  I also feel that potential opportunities will arise for me because I am able to speak Spanish.  My Spanish lessons are extremely important to me, and I look forward to them every week.  If you are interested in learning a new language, School of Language Arts is the place you should go.

This workshop gave me something that will impact my life long after the program ended…read more What stood out most wasn't just the material or the exercises--it was the commitment of the leaders and the environment they created for real growth, accountability, and transformation. I was challenged to look honestly at myself, my patterns, and the kind of person I am committed to being. One of the biggest takeaways for me was the opportunity to reflect deeply on my values and the way I want to show up in my life. The impact of this experience extends beyond me. My daughter will grow up in a household where both of her parents are committed to doing the work, growing, and living intentionally. That alone makes this experience invaluable. The leaders and staff may never fully know the ripple effect they create, but I can confidently say they made a difference in my life and in my family's future. If you're willing to show up, participate, and be open to growth, this workshop can be a truly powerful experience. I'm grateful for what I learned, the people I met, and the opportunity to be part of it I wish i could do a 10 star review

Participating in both Discovery & Transformation with Ariya has been one of the most impactful and…read moretransformative experiences of my life. I went in hoping to gain a better understanding of myself, but I left with so much more than that. I walked away with a deeper awareness of who I am and understanding the ways my past experiences and unresolved trauma have been shaping my thoughts, relationships, and decisions for years. What stood out to me most was that this experience wasn't about fixing anything that was "wrong" with me, but rather it was about helping me recognize my own power, uncover patterns and beliefs that were no longer serving me, and giving me the tools to choose a different way forward. The work was challenging, emotional, and eye opening, but it was also incredibly healing. Ariya created a space where I felt safe, supported, seen, and empowered to do the work. Through the process, I gained a level of self awareness and now have a much better understanding of myself, my emotions, triggers, and patterns that have been holding me back. I've been able to apply what I learned to both my personal life and my career. My relationships have improved, my communication has become more intentional, and I find myself approaching challenges with greater clarity, confidence, and self trust. My advice is simple - trust the process and be willing to show up fully!! The growth, healing, and transformation that are possible on the other side are far greater than I ever could have imagined. I am incredibly grateful to Ariya and the entire EAC team for creating such a powerful experience. It was truly one of the best things I could have ever done for myself, and I know the lessons and breakthroughs I gained will stay with me for the rest of my life. I am forever grateful to the people who introduced me to this work

This review is specific to the "Parent and Me" class for toddlers aged 3 to 5…read more I attended the 2014-2015 session in full except for the last month and a few weekends where we were out on vacation. The school was having this class for the first time (or did not have such a class in recent history), and the teacher appeared new to the school. The majority of the students in the class were aged 3-4. Initially, classes were held in traditional Chinese school format with kids seated around the teacher, and instruction provided by the teacher utilizing a board and exercises using crayons and paper. The ratio was one teacher to a class of about 20 students, each with parent present. There was alot of waiting when the teacher switched to addressing each child individually. Despite having assistants, they did not help much except to hand out stickers. Students were expected to stay seated, repeat after the teacher, circle objects in the exercises. Each session was ~50 minutes long with a short break between. Attendance was high initially but rapidly waned after the first 2 months. The classroom is lined with toys that the children are not allowed to play with. The children have a hard time being seated and following directions for the duration expected. Parents try their best to re-direct and keep their kid involved in the lesson, but the kids picked up that there is no consequence from acting out in that room (expect if the parents remove the child on their own accord). I keep attending and kept trying different things such as getting there very early to let my child release energy and watch the upper level classrooms at work. At one point I wrote an email to the school to suggest more age appropriate teaching, and even helped organize a few lessons to include more small group activities. It resulted in the teacher taking a lesser role while an assistant stepped up to lead. While the assistant was more energetic, he was clearly even less experienced at handling this age group. I finally stopped attending when the assistant opened candy 2 minutes into class to be used as bribe even after I specifically asked him to not hand out candy until the end. They (assistant and teacher) also brought in peanut butter crackers to be used in class without checking with parents or the facility. We had a parent pipe up that their child was allergic, and the classroom had a sign that said peanut-free facility. As far as I could tell, children in the higher level classes were learning and content. For myself, this class was a waste of time and I found my child learned more from listening to a Mandarin CD during the car ride than the actual class itself. I truly hope the school will change their view about age appropriate teaching, and pay more attention to what goes on in their classes.

My son has been attending this school for five years, and it has been a great experience for him…read more The small class sizes have been perfect for him, and he has gained skills in both speaking and writing Chinese. The cultural experiences in the school have also been a nice bonus. The progressive nature of the classes means that his knowledge grows over time. It is quite a commitment for both kids and parents, but it has definitely been worth it for us.
