This was especially meaningful for my oldest daughter, who was going through a difficult time personally. We will always appreciate the sense of community she found there during the first year. Charisma has had several talented teachers and consistently produces strong choreography. We are especially grateful for some of the teachers, most of whom have since left the studio, who had a very positive influence on my daughters. MaKayla is fantastic, the studio is fortunate to have her. Over time, however, our experience changed significantly. In our experience, the studio environment became increasingly negative and controlling. While many teachers were supportive, some communicated with dancers in ways that felt harsh and discouraging. We also observed what appeared to be favoritism. Dancers who took private lessons seemed to receive more prominent roles and stronger team placements. The same dancers were frequently placed front and center in routines. During our final season, both of my daughters came home upset on multiple occasions because of how they felt they were treated by studio leadership. We met with leadership several times to discuss our concerns, but we did not feel our concerns were meaningfully addressed, and we did not see improvement. After raising concerns, we felt our daughters received fewer opportunities and less favorable placements. This was not an isolated experience. Over the past several years, we saw a number of dancers and families leave the studio, and several families we knew expressed similar concerns about the studio environment and treatment of dancers. To the studio's credit, when my daughter was diagnosed with mono, they allowed her to continue participating as she was able, and we appreciated that flexibility. After leaving Charisma, my oldest daughter chose to stop dancing altogether. While multiple factors contributed to that decision, our experience at the studio played a significant role. We ultimately moved to another studio where our younger daughter continues to dance in a more supportive and respectful environment. Since switching studios, she has received more opportunities and has shown quicker improvement in her technique. Based on our experience, I would not recommend Charisma to families looking for a positive and healthy long-term dance environment.

There are no front desk staff to pay. So adult dance classes are just 6$ per class and you don't have to pay a monthly tuition. You can drop in any week you want. They also have an option to pay via Venmo which is convenient. I have met two of the teachers and they are both very nice and fun and teach at a speed that everyone can pick up.

We had been a part of a DANCE family that we absolutely loved. When we knew we would be moving from an hour away, switching dance studios was the hardest and saddest part of the whole decision to move. We didn't want to leave. We were happy and comfortable at our dance home for 9 years. ADA made the transition even smoother then I could even explain. The first day we walked in the director had told my girls that she understands that we are leaving our dance family of 9 years and everything they had ever known. She said she could not even imagine what they must feel in this situation. She then told them that she knows she can NEVER replace our old dance family but she hopes ADA can be added to our dance family, Everything we experienced with this studio is beyond all Expectations! The staff were also amazing. Everyone is always working with and helping each other. My oldest was told she wasn't the best at lyrical by her last studio and came back after the covid shut down she competed a lyrical solo and took an overall highpoint for lyrical. The director and owner do everything they can to make sure the girls aren't just the best dancers but to have the confidence that they need!!! We had our daughter doing dance at this place for a season and at first everything seemed fine…read more Then my daughter started asking us not to take her. When we asked her, she said she was still interested in dance but didn't want to go to this place anymore because the teacher was not nice. We pressed her some more and come to find out she like the class when the owner of the establishment was not there, but when the owner was there she would rather not dance at all. We made her stick it out because we had already paid the hefty fees for costumes (in the end never got to use these by the way) but we had to make her go. Then my daughter broke her arm and could no longer dance. We asked the owner to cancel our monthly payments as she was no longer able to participate. Despite this the fee still came out of our account. My wife tried many times to resolve this and get a refund for the fees we were overcharged but the owner always had an excuse as to why it did not happen. I finally went down there myself and confronted her about it and she (the owner) said that I was harassing her! I was simply asking for a refund for an overcharge. Not only that, but on their brochure (contract as they called it) they promised extra classes and a small discount for those parents that signed up for auto pay. Neither of these did we receive. In my opinion you should not waste your time or your money here. The owner is semi dishonest and my daughter now does not like dance!

I was told they didn't offer that until age 8, only to find out when we were there that they DO have a hip hop class for that age group, but it's for boys only. When I walked in, the owner was not very friendly. The entire establishment was completely unorganized. I called the owner shortly after leaving asking about the hip hop class, not understanding why the boys can do ballet, tap and jazz, but why my daughter couldn't join the hip hop class. I understand it is her establishment and she can do what she pleases with it. But I, personally found it very sexist. She was rude, unprofessional and dismissive. Needless to say my daughter will not be attending the dance classes.

I usually take aerial classes at smaller fitness studios nearby, but they have lower ceilings, so the hammocks/silks are usually setup shorter length. However, this studio has really high ceilings, which allow for longer hammocks/silks. A fun studio to just practice and focus on aerial position. The instructor there is super helpful and can be challenging with more advance tricks/positions. Ample parking outside of the building. I can't wait to come back to practice more.

I took both my girls for an evaluation and it was the worst experience we have ever had at ANY gym…read more Both my girls left crying. They ONLY teach skills on the right and do not let students do anything on the left. they don't even do splits on the left. It states in their information that "all of our students do the same side for classroom efficiency" so basically they don't care about your kids, they just want to make it easier for the instructors. You can make all kids learn on the right, but forcing a lefty to be a righty is child abuse. I don't think anyone should support this gym.
