Horrible service, I was working the LP early 2025 on a super important crisis we were having. The first red flag was never getting the accountant on the phone. It was always the same excuse, hes away from his desk or hes at a client meeting now but I can take your name and message and he will get back to you.... That wasn't even the worst part - they got the most critical piece of information wrong... It was so blatantly wrong that is was laughable. The incompetence was rightfully there. I'm a bit younger and newer to the work force, so I wasn't really sure with how to go about doing my taxes etc... I knew I needed some help and didn't feel like doing the online websites. One of my friends parent's recommended giving them a call here to help out. When I called and got in touch with somebody, they were extremelyyyyy helpful! So patient and explained everything I needed to know to feel comfortable. Not sure why you would go to anybody else. At least now I know who to go to each year, thanks guys! read more

We used CPA Jay Lesser for over a decade for help with preparing our taxes. We received a letter last fall that he would be working with Lear & Pannepacker but would still be involved so we thought that was fine. We had a question about our estimated tax payment and so did as we always did in such cases--sent Jay an email. We were a bit surprised when someone at Lear & Pannepacker responded instead of Mr Lesser but that wasn't a big deal. However, we were disappointed with the answer which was totally generic. We had asked if we should pay additional estimated taxes and got a general answer not based in any way whatsoever on our particular situation, numbers, etc. Essentially it was a form response they could have sent to anyone. While we were unhappy it was not helpful we decided we'd just have to try to figure it out ourselves. However, that wasn't all. A week later we received a bill for $250 for this supposed "advice!" Needless to say we've found a new accountant. read more
