This place is great. My 3 year old daughter loves it here. She has fun learning new songs and always comes home singing. She likes the outdoor play time. I like the structured environment for her where there is a schedule to follow as opposed to daycare. She is learning her letters and comes home with her projects for the day. We have had our son here for about 8-9 months. The teachers here are really engaged with the kids, and we know our son is well taken care of. All the staff are great, but our son is especially fond of Zeb and talks about her to us as if she was one of his friends and favorite people! Right now, our daughter's well being and development is truly the most import thing to us. We reviewed several schools before enrolling her into Learning Clock and every day we see improvements and signs that it was the best decision we could have made. We love the structure, teaching style, and overwhelming kindness that our daughter gets and each every week a new advancement comes from the time they spend with her. She has never shown sadness or anything but warmth and trust with the teachers and because of that she flourishes. We look forward to all that she will learn from this school. What I have observed of Ms. Fey is sincere fondness of all of the kids with ambitions of ensuring their success and safety. My son is now 4 and has been going to this school since November when he was 3 1/2. My main focus for him was social interaction since he is the only child. He also has delayed speech which I expressed my concern with the teachers about it, but they assured my he will grow in all fields. He goes three days a week and so far he has shown so much improvement! He was singing jingle bells out of nowhere and I started to cry because it felt good hear and see his progression. The teachers are so very nice and they really work with all the students because it's in such small groups & my son is proof! He also has learned to write some letters from the alphabet which made me very happy!! This school is great so far and I can't wait to see how much more my son improves. read more

My son has been going to learning clock montessori for more than 4 months now. At first I had the impression that there aren't many activities but later I realized they go with the flow of the kid . The teachers (Mrs Zeid ) are patient and teach them step by step as the kid wants to learn. My son looks forward to going to this school and play there . He has also picked some rhymes . My son and daughter love their daycare/school. All the teachers are friendly and caring. The building is cozy with four separate rooms for children of various ages and has recently been updated with new flooring, new fixtures in the bathrooms and new paint. The playground is large enough for all the children and is surrounded by beautiful trees. From my children's development I can tell that education is a priority. It is never pushy or competitive and that is fine by me. Whenever i drop by the kids are engaged and having fun. The overall size is small enough that I know most of the children and even some of the parents. I am very happy that my children are being exposed to a fabulous group of loving adults and an intimate group of diverse friends. All of this for a very competitive price. read more

We love this Montessori! After being anxious about finding a nurturing preschool for our boys, as soon as we visited we felt it was the right place. They have been there for 6 months. My boys loves it and runs in in the morning while greeted by Zarah and Zeb who are both very welcoming, warm hearted and calm which makes my sons feel very secure. Teacher Mei is also wonderful! I stopped in to check out the school without calling ahead and I'm glad I did. I would never consider this school after what I saw. I enrolled my 2 year old at this daycare/school in December of 2011. Since than I have been VERY happy with her growth and development. My daughter looks forward to going to school and I feel confident she is safe. The owner has taken a very good approach to childcare and the educational Development of all the children. The school has also been constantly upgraded which is nice to see. The lessons taught are age appropriate and each child I have noticed is very happy to be there. I love the at home atmosphere of this location. Its small and intimate rather than your traditional warehouse type location, which to me was very important. One of the most awesome things in the recent weeks has been the addition of piano lessons provided at the school, my little one is being taught by a professional music instructor who comes to the school and teaches each child one on one! Perfect for a busy mom like me where it would be difficult to schedule at home lessons while I work full time. I really love their approach to learning! The teachers at this location are exceptional people!!! You can really feel that they enjoy working with children. They have done an excellent job in creating a fun and disciplined environment for all kids. My daughter has quickly picked up counting, ABC's"s and so many songs and concepts at the age of two which really makes me proud of her. Teachers have also done an excellent job with potty training as well, which has been a big challenge for working moms! Ms. Fey is a wonderful teacher and person! Whoever this Jon S. is obviously has no idea what he's speaking about, so I hope this review helps: My soon to be 3 YO grandson has been attending this school since April 2012. He has blossomed there! He has learned so much from counting to singing when he picks up his own toys - PICKS UP HIS OWN TOYS!!! Whenever I've gone to pick him up from the school, I stand back and watch him and he is always playing with the other children and having so much fun he has no idea that I'm there until I walk up to him. Miss Fey and the other teachers care so much for every single child that it is evident - every one of them are so happy and adjusted at this school! We chose Learning Clock Montessori because of its smaller size and the personal attention that the teachers place on each child. My grandson was recently potty-trained by the teachers and no longer wears diapers when he's at school. He loves books, loves to count, loves to say his colors and his artwork is getting so much better than when he first arrived. It's our first time to send our daughter in a daycare and we were a little worried about it. But the "homey" environment of Learning Clock made it easier. Ms. Fey (owner) is a very nice person and it shows how she treats the children to help them feel more comfortable and safer in the environment. I would like to give 5 star rating to this school because my daughter love this school and her teachers. Teachers are so friendly and caring, its like child is in safe hands. I would like to add about learning part too. She learned lot of poems, songs, alphabets, numbers which she sings daily after coming from school. She got good command in communication which I feel is very important in today's era. I regularly get feedback about my child and we together work to fix the problems. My two year old has been attending Learning clock for about six months now and I am very happy with him there. The teachers and miss Fey; the program/ daycare owner are amazing with each and every one of the kids as well as with the parents. Miss Fey brings in an amazing style of learning to our kids based on there individuality. Miss Fey and the rest of the staff have put a lot of effort into making it a comfortable learning space for the children by remodeling the floors and painting, as well as having three different play structures for the different ages as well as different rooms so that each age groups get the teachings and environment that they need. I was blessed to find this school/day care for my son because since he started there he has learned and grown so much. He is now confident in himself and the things he does whereas before he was shy and had a hard time adjusting. He loves being at school and is so happy playing and learning new things when I arrive to pick him up. I recommend this childcare/school to everyone who as myself have ever feared that their kids will not be looked after like we look after them because at learning clock montessori my kid is happy and loved and looked after as an individual and not as another working mother/father's kid!!!! read more

I enrolled my 2 year old daughter at Learning Clock in San Leandro almost a year ago. This has been the best decision I have ever made for her. My daughter has always been very strong minded and full of energy, which as we all know can lead to great qualities but can also be very challenging. The home daycare I previously had her enrolled in pretty much made me feel like my daughter was out of control and always had to be on time out. I would cry at least a couple of times a week. Every day I wondered if I would get "the call" with them telling me they couldn't watch her anymore. When my sister found the article for Learning Clock, I went in right away to meet Fey. I was very honest about my current position and experience at her daycare at that time and Fey made me feel so optomistic about how they treat toddlers/children when they "act up" (for lack of a better term). Rather than telling my kid she is being bad and placing her on time out in a high chair, or a crib, Fey explained that at Learning Clock, they simply remove the chilrdren from the group and are patient with them until they realize that they would rather get over it and go back and play. It proved to be exactly that way. Since being at Learning Clock, my daughter sings all the time, says please, thank you and sorry and she loves to color and put things together. Also, my dughter has a very affectionate attachment to Teacher Zeb - who I thank God for every day! She loves her so much that she hugs and kisses her goodbye and worries about whetehr or not she is cold! It is the cutest thing.
